So apparently we suck and we are lottery bound according to these "experts". A couple snipets. Just want this board to remember what EVERYBODY thinks of us.

"a 25-year-old career backup with gaps throughout his game," and that "Van Gundy’s major frontcourt addition, the competitive but limited Aron Baynes, arrives on a generous 3-year, $20 million deal a few months after he was unable to stay on the court during the playoffs."

Grant Hughes gave the Pistons a D+ grade for their offseason, calling Jackson "an inefficient scorer, an inaccurate shooter and an inattentive defender." He concludes that "Detroit will regret the Jackson deal."

Here are some snippets from their "Weaknesses" blurb: "Flat out not enough talent … Drummond is the lone Top-50 player in the roster … Awful free-throw shooting … Basketball IQ of the team is not Spur-esque… Losing culture."

The lottery is absolutely a possibility. I'm optimistic that we have a team that can make a run for a playoff spot, but it's entirely possible we lose some key players to injuries and miss the cut again as well. Heck, Reggie is already nursing a sore achillies.

of course its a possibility. But there's no argument that you can make that would agree with their assessments. Yes i have alittle bias, but i am also not as ignorant as some of those writers.

exactly. Some of the pieces I've read are laughable at best. One actually stated that loosing Monroe's scoring and rebounding was going to hurt us. I mean I don't even know where to start with that one.

It's fine though. This team is built to Stan's specifications so it should be fun to watch.

We're all biased on here. We're all Pistons fans.

I agree, those "experts" have generally overlooked the value adding moves SVG has made and the fit of the new roster, as well as the depth at the wings. I was simply saying that the lottery is entirely possible, not necessarily because of the poor and ill-researched reasons those pundits provided. My guess is that it would mostly be due to injury in that event.
