Selfish offensive play becoming a problem for SVG

The coach was not pleased, in particular with the clutch-time play of Reggie Jackson, who was paid $80 million to lead this team, then didn't in the key moments of the seventh preseason game.

"I thought that our ball movement was horrible," Van Gundy said. "We wouldn't get the ball from one side of the floor to the other. And our decision-making was not good. Jodie (Meeks) made one really nice pass but Reggie was, I don't know, trying to do too much and didn't make good decisions.

He's right. Some of us discussed it the other night.

"The one at the end, he just passed up a wide-open guy to try to win it himself," Van Gundy said. "We have to get out of that. We have a little bit of that going on, guys who want to do it themselves instead of playing together and moving the ball." - SVG

This is why I'm so optimistic about this team. It's not the talent and the depth. It's not the youth and comradery, it's the all world coach we have.

He knows how to coach. I've seen the ball move fluidly this preseason and I've seen players get selfish with it. I haven't seen enough lobs to Dre and I definitely understand why he would be annoyed by it.

Yeah, hopefully RJ tones down the impersonation of Westbrook and trust his teammates more while not getting tunnel vision.

His biggest enemy last night was himself and he knows it.

Yea it's not really a big deal just guys trying to do too much individually and they'll see that when they watch the game film back..Stan even said so on the radio today..guys not letting the game just come to them..easily fixable and I imagine a talking point going into the last pre season game..Reggie's played well this pre season and had an avg night last night..
