Meeks out with Jones Fracture in his right foot...
Whatever that is. Guy just can't stay healthy.
Big minutes for Bullock, but we're dangerously short at the 2/3 now. KCP, Bullock, Morris, Johnson and Hilliard.

Bone right above/behind the little toe. The time table on the return looks like a few months (2-4, yup). He'll need surgery so he doesn't refracture it and whenever you do a surgery, even if it's not complicated, it'll take at least a month to recover from it. Depending on the size of the fracture, we'll probably see him again this season. With that said, I think Bullock can take the back up SG role.
There's a good chance Meeks gets traded by the trade deadline or by next offseason as he'll be an expiring contract next season.

Blessing in disguise I hate to say. Bullock has outplayed Meeks in every way so far. It gives him an opportunity to show what we can provide at the 2-guard

It's possibly a blessing in disguise - but it certainly hurts our depth and makes it so another injury is a serious problem. Meeks can be a big time scorer, so this isn't some good thing from that standpoint.
But, I agree, long term - Meeks probably wasn't going to end up in our plans.

Sucks to hear this but time for Bullock to step up and show why he's here!

Bullock and Johnson can cover his role. Get well soon but he hasn't really been so great in his time here so far.

A damn shame. Hope he can get back sooner rather than later.

Re: Meeks out with Jones Fracture in his right foot...
I believe KD suffered through a jones fracture and that also complicated other issues with his foot that sidelined him for basically all of last year.
This might be both good and bad, since we can't raise Meeks's trade value to bait a team starving for a shooter. This also means we get to play Bullock more in an actual regular season game and see how he does.

Bullock looked poor so far in regular season. Only reason i am not crowning bullock just yet is because he's done all of that in the preseason, which don't count for sh*. We will find out if it translates. Also hope this means we get to see some Hillard.

Meeks hasn't looked good very often for us. Losing depth is bad, but if I could pick any one player from the active roster to lose for a couple of months, it'd be either Meeks or Dinwiddie.

Uh oh. Hes a player who can come in and win us a game unlike anyone else on the roster. a reliable source of offense and spacing that we may not have in the second unit without him. Fortunately Bullock looked great in the pre season but hes really not much more than a catch and shoot player offensively, and isn't going to kill you running around screens and such like meeks can. Mainly there for breakdowns on defense. KCP looking as good as he has as well helps a whole lot too but this will definitely hurt since i think a jones fracture is quite a lengthy return

That sounds familiar to me too :/. If Meeks is injured it would be impossible to trade him. It really disappoints me because it feels so unlucky. It's not like he's a super old guy or followed by injury concerns (to my knowledge). I figured we were getting a high% 3pt shooter on a decent deal. Oh well. Things do not always go as planned.

Yeah this sucks. Meeks can play well when healthy, unfortunately that hasnt happened for us. Hurts our depth, hurts his trade value. Glad we have Bullock and that he'll get a chance to contribute, hate to see one of our guys go down though.

We'll see if this is a blessing in disguise by allowing Bullock a shot at rotation minutes. On paper, he's a great fit for our team.
However, no doubt this hurts our depth. We're one injury away from having a depth problem at SG/SF. On the other hand, if Jennings makes it back this season, we get a lot deeper than ever.

I have to agree. Meeks has been awful. We won't miss those 1 for 8 shooting nights.

Feel bad for Meeks but this is the one spot we are set up good at depth wise. Bullock will get more PT which is good. SJ can play some SG. Blake can too. Most of all though is when Jennings comes back he is going to play a lot with Reggie too.
Plus with KCP playing so well he is going to take most of the minutes at that spot anyways. So really we should be good there.

Doh, man can't catch a break (or can he....)
I'd be a lot less worried about this if Jennings was healthy, but oh well, next man up

and there was a reason for that. He was horrible defensively and was getting lost on offense. He'll improve, but my point still stands.

This signing was a complete flop.
