I hate to say it but this time I am absolutely going to be correct when I call this a;
100% locked in loss.
Young team playing out of thier gourd and have had very limited success in guarding Paul George.
This crazy run of shooting 35-40% from the floor and winning behind Drummond playing like Bill Russell and Marcus Morris playing like Prime Carmelo Anthony is absolutely not sustainable.
I am extraordinarily happy with this teams performance thus far and defensively have exceeded my wildest expectations. I said they would win 48-53 wins this year but never envisioned them turning into a defensive bulldog type of team. If anything quite the opposite.
Now the road trip is going to be interesting coming off this loss. Will it effect this young teams confidence?

I think we can win but we always have a tough time guarding PG13 our front court gotta come up big for us to win this one

Gonna need to absolutely destroy the big man matchup to win this. George is a bad matchup for us.

You called the Bulls game a loss too.
The Pacers are 0-2, probably 0-3 after they play Utah tonight. PG can get his, he can't score 90+ points by himself.

Ellis and PG might rip us but our defense has been primarily on the perimeter, not the inside! Check out the stats. The three teams we played killed us in the paint but not the perimeter. I've been saying this 2 games in a row now, if we win this game, it'll have to be because of our offense which I feel will ignite in this game since Pacers don't have great defense.

The Pacers have been overrated all offseason just because PG is back. They lost both of their starting big men and are paper thin up front. They swapped defense for offense and lost their identity in the process. I don't see this Pacers team making the playoffs. Hopefully, they lose tonight and we can keep them out of the win column on Tuesday.

I think Pacers win tonight vs Utah and then lose against us. Our road game series is gonna be brutal. If we go 500 then I'd call it a successful road trip. We usually do bad against the west.

PG killed us during preseason on limited minutes.
So we can hope to just slow him down a tad and just throw lobs and outhustle inside.

Well Indiana just got mauled like pigs on thier home floor. I expect them to come into the palace hungry for that first win.
Will they bring bibs? We'll find out on tuesday!

Paul George is definitely a bad matchup for us, and that perimeter could be a big issue for us to defend, effective though our defense has been so far.
Their best big guy is probably the rookie they currently have coming off the bench though.
Should be an interesting game. I don't accept the notion that being 3-0 assures us a loss here, and the fact that the Pacers are "hungry" doesn't necessarily mean they're going to win. They're an almost entirely remade team from a year ago and it might take them some time to figure it out.

We have been winning these games lately with terrible offense but great defense, its going to be scary to see how we do once our offence starts clicking. I'm expecting a competitive game vs the pacers but I think we will win again and go to 4-0.

I think this is gonna be a game with very little Tolliver and Ilysasova. Need Stanley and Morris out there to match with Paul George at the 4.
Although an interesting wrinkle to keep Tolliver and Ilyasova out there might be to hide them on whoever is playing SF for the Pacers at the time (CJ Miles or Budinger).

I said this in another thread, but we are currently 1st in RPG w/ 54 while Indy is 28th with 39 RPG. Dre should be able to manhandle Mahinmi or whoever else they throw at him giving us a strong edge in 2nd chance points. With both teams attempting over 25 3's per game we also need to make sure we are getting out and contesting their 3's.
Pre-season game aside PG is shooting like crap and even if he has a good game I don't think it's enough. Nobody else on that team scares me at all. Our only real concern should be whether it's a trap game for us; young team coming off 3 wins and feeling pretty good about itself. Do we get after it as hard as we need to? Loss wouldn't completely shock me... but this is a game we really should win.
