Game 6: Pistons (4-1) @ Trail Blazers (4-2) - Nov. 8 9:00 PM EST

Post#1 » by whitehops » Sun Nov 8, 2015 1:47 am

Portland has been playing a lot better than most people have expected them to, but so have we I suppose.

Anyways, a win here would be big, I'm hoping that we win big so our starters don't have to play a ton - we play golden state the next day.

Something to look for: how we defend the 3. The Blazers are taking, and making, a ton of them. Lillard and McCollum are the two biggest culprits, with Lillard shooting 9 a game and McCollum shooting 6.5 a game, both hitting at 43%.

That said, we have been good at defending the 3 so far so I think the winner of this little area of the game will have an advantage.

Sorry the season is still young so I can't comment too much, especially on a team with a lot of changes like portland.

Go Pistons!

I'd rather just have our team go all in against POR tomorrow. GSW is too much to handle right now.

This would be a great win to have before we get beat down by the Warriors.

Yep, give Portland everything we have and go for the win. We're going to get demolished by the best team in the NBA the next night either way. Curry can hang 50 on Reggie and scrubby backups if he wants to.

Would like to see Drummond have a bounce back game, and our bench continue to produce. A W would be nice as well going into GS.

When the Pistons are good very few times will I ever say any game is a must win. But this early in the season this is as close to it as you can get. Why? Becuase no matter how well I may think we match up with the Warriors, they are going to win that game period and I would rather Come out of that game 2-1 on the road trip then 1-2 so winning against portland would be great.

I hope Stan recognizes that Lillard is killing it right now and puts Pope on him to start the game. I don't care if someone else goes crazy stop Lillard and you stop the Blazers. This game I also have no feeling towards just like the Phoenix game. It's to damn early and I still can't get a proper bead on our team and how they are going to do. All I know is this;

Drummond should dominate this teams frontcourt in a way that is against the damn law. Stay out of foul trouble Andre and you will be seeing your first 30+ rebound night of your career!

The Blazers are currently tied for second place in the west with the Clippers and the spurs... they might be a better team and more difficult game than we might have realized... I can see Lillard having a monster game against us.

I think we are a good matchup from them though cause we defend the 3 and rebound well.

That backcourt could give us some real problems. Its not a great matchup for us and they've both been playing extremely well.

Front court looks as flimsy as hell though. Should be an interesting game.

This is the perfect game to feed Andre inside. I hope Jackson realizes that and doesn't try to do to much to match their backcourt. We also need a good game out of Morris. I feel 50-50 on this game, but man I'm praying for a win before we head to Golden State.

Looks like back to back losses with this game then GSW. The West is just too good

The Blazers are a not good on defense at any position other than SF. This will be a true test for our backcourt on defense. Barring foul trouble, Drummond should dominate the boards. We just can't fall behind because this team is not built to play from behind.

POR is built to tank with youth and an overloaded PF rotation.

But they've been playing good led by Lillard and CJ killing it the last few games. KCP will have his hands full tonight and I hope we see SJ in action too.

9PM on a Sunday?? Even if they are in the West.. there's no reason for it to be that late on a Sunday. Especially on a back to back against the best team in the league.. Thanks NBA.

I also think we're gonna win 2 of the 3 against the Kings, Clippers and Lakers. I'm pretty much chalking up the Warriors game as a loss, but hoping we can be competitive. Very tough team to draw on the second night of a back to back... Any lapse in defense or effort and they can put 10 points on you in a hurry. I remember that building being really loud back to those run and gun minimal defense teams Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson were on, but it's at another level now... Very hard place to play.

Should be a entertaining game, and a very winnable game. Marcus must win his matchup and Dre gotta eat as you all have said about this front court. I think Blazers only favored by 2 pts tonight, Vegas believes.
