Can the Pistons show their dominance in this game?

Who is the best center in the league?

Andre needs 24 pts and 23 rebs tonight to get his averages back up to 20/20 for the season.

It's crazy that that doesn't even sound crazy.

I just want to take the time to thank Sacramento for NOT taking Drummond at #5. Now let's get this win.

The Kings actually have the personnel to limit Drummond on the glass a bit. Granted, "limiting" Andre is still like 14 boards for him. But Cousins and even Cauley-Stein are some of the few guys with the size and athleticism to keep up with Dre.

That being said, Drummond is still the best of the bunch, and the Kings don't really have a good defense. Should be a very interesting matchup.

He does. Kings will work their asses off tonight and play like there's no tomorrow.

Hope our team defense and our tactical edge make the difference, though.

I just hope we don't play down to their level. Usually teams with good defenses stay that way but their offense doesn't. We could start missing shots and that keeps the game closer than it should and we've seen that this season so far against Phoenix. I want a different pace with our offense showing dominance instead and we've been playing well on that end. The Kings defense is weak and we should take advantage of that. I expect Drummond to compete hard with Cousins. But I expect our backcourt to play better. Johnson needs a big game.

The way Andre was talking after the game and his body language I wouldn't be surprised to see an absolute monster of a game if he doesn't derail it being to aggressive and picking up early foul trouble.

Detroit is absolutely the better team but Sacramento really, really wants this game. A loss wouldn't surprise me.

Now remember everyone before the trip everyone's expectations were fair. Don't change that after just a few games. Still a young team and still growing together.

I would still be fine with a 3-3 trip.

Two threads but I like the graphic in this one. It's awesome for a quick reference check. If mods close this one this graphic has to be on the main post!

^ Ibid; in fact, I'd still be THRILLED with a 3-3 trip. Am I greedy and hoping for 4-2? Of course, but I'm not gonna move the goal posts in my head. Before the trip, I wrote that I figured we'd beat the Lakers, lose to the Warriors and Clippers, and that the other three games were coin flips. It's awesome that we beat PHX and POR, and no matter what their record is, it'll be awesome if we beat SAC tonight. This is usually our worst road trip of the year; getting it behind us before Thanksgiving with an overall winning record (a 3-3 trip equals 6-4 in our first ten games) would be huge.

I think we win this game and the Lakers game will be close only because Kobe will probably have a good game against us. It's still Kobe. Maybe Cousins will play well in this one but I just think our defense is outstanding. If we come out defending today, the win will come to us easily. We'll just bank off the turnovers. Watch!

controlling the pace will be important (and transition D). they are good at forcing turnovers which really helps them push the ball so limiting turnovers would go a long way to keeping the game at our pace.

Recent news about cousins going ham on thier coach may mean either the team falls apart tonight or comes out absolutely swinging. I don't have a read on this at all.

Return to Detroit Pistons
