If we are a playoff team this year, this is a win or near win. The team will come out desperate and hungry for a W and will at least compete hard all game and have a chance to win in the final minutes of the game.

If we're a lottery team once again this year, this is a loss... we don't bring the energy that Cleveland does and our lack of talent really shows as we get down early and never really show much heart.

I think this game will say a lot about our season, being on our home court and playing in front of one of the larger crowds (party because of Lebron) we'll see this year... The effort on defense will be big... and ball movement on offense.

Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure about a loss if I were you guys. Don't let our record fool you. We've generally looked pretty bad this season. We've had 2 games where we played great basketball (against Memphis and Miami), and the rest of the games we've looked lethargic and careless, at least until the fourth quarter when LeBron has managed to pull out some wins by himself. But in most of our games, we've been down at the end of the third quarter. Plus, we've played Phlly and New York each twice, and our road record is a much less intimidating 3-2.

This game could go either way in my mind. I think a large part hinges on whether or not Mozgov can do a decent job against Drummond.

I agree with you, and didn't LeBron call out the team for playing horrible recently? Mozgov vs Drummond will be a matchup to watch for sure. Hasn't KCP done a decent job guarding LeBron in the past? I'm interested in seeing that after he was able to cover Curry.

And yeah, some people on this board were talking championship contenders after our hot start, and now after a losing streak it's all doom and gloom. How it goes I 'spose

Yeah he did. Also, in the Knicks game when we were down by 7 in the 3Q, he said this:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2589482-lebron-james-barks-at-teammates-vs-knicks-you-motherf-kers-gonna-play

We haven't looked that good. And a large part of that is us missing our starting backcourt, but it can't be understated how careless we've played in the first 3 quarters.

Not sure how well KCP played LeBron. Honestly, this season when LeBron hasn't played that well (by his standards) it's been because he couldn't hit the side of the backboard from the outside. Some games he's a decent shooter, and others he's absolutely awful. Who knows how he'll be tonight.

Yes, the question for tonight is do they show that hunger and competitiveness? I don't like to make early judgments when a team has seen a lot of turnover. Still, heart or lack thereof does tell a lot about the direction of the team. I won't rule out the possibility of a win, as they have shown they can beat good teams. This shooting slump has to end at some point, I hope.

We just got beat by the Lakers and we're on a 4 game losing streak. LeBron is going to do whatever he wants all game. Extremely unlikely for us to win, barring another 26 point fourth quarter from Reggie or something rare like that.

I expect us to play tough in this one and be competitive. Will that result in a win? I hope so, but I'm not expecting it.

I can't believe we lost 4 in a row to teams like the Kings, Lakers and a no Paul Clippers team that we were up 17 on.

Just noticed we have all the rivalries in sports teams under our names, I was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in MI, so I doubly hate Ohio/Cleveland. I've still got lots of family in Cleveland tho, some of you are alright

Pistons will definitely compete. Its really up to SVG's lineups.

If he overplays Blake and Morris and leaves Dinwiddie and Bullock on the bench... its a loss.

If he takes lessons from the 4 game losing streaks and makes some lineup changes, it could be a win.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.

I approve of your teams man
How about that game by Big Ben and AB Sunday? Man that was awesome... My Dad is from Western PA and grew up watching the Steelers so luckily I was raised as a Steelers fan.

We just lost to the worst Western team IMO, the Lakers, imploding Kings, and a Clippers team where their starting backcourt was Jamal Crawford and Austin "HERE COMES AUSTIN RIVERS" Rivers.

I'm not buying any hype we win this. For valid reasons too.

We also won against 2 of the best East teams and played GS and LAC tough. I don't buy the CP3 argument. They still had their best player which is Griffin now (who is a top 5 MVP candidate) and a much deeper bench and championship coach. That should never have been viewed as a game we were supposed to win. Yes, after we got up 17, but we were never supposed to be up that much on them in the first place.

Point being we seem to play up/down to our competition. So following that trend and being at home, I give us a chance.

I also think the Laker game was a product of the schedule too, and not indicative of how good/bad we are. Guys were just fatigued.
