Great article. I truly didn't realize at the time how young Dre was because he looked like a man and that was the problem. I think because of how he looked a lot of GM's were expecting a sort of maturity that guys like davis, bron griffin and other freakish athletes. Dre was very much a mama's boy which i could understand could deter some teams. Looking back at it, he probably is the exact type of center you want. Still young raw physically and mentally ready to be molded with the attitude he wants to be one of the best. he just needs a to be shown how.

Great article about SVG and Drummond.

He has graduated from project to pillar, inviting Stanley Johnson to live with him when the rookie’s mother died of breast cancer in August

Sometimes as basketball fans, we miss the very human side of these players. Just how young they are, and how much their lives turn upside down after being drafted, moving to a new city, and learning a new system. Kudos to Dre to take the initiative and get Stanley under his wing.

Great article.

He is, in a lot of ways, still a big kid. He's getting there, though.

Drummond would go up to people and introduce himself his rookie year during community functions. Did it to me once.
