His name is Ben Simmons.

To bad we would have to tank to get him, but is the perfect player we need for this team. Guys like him come around every 10 years.

If you happen to see LSU on TV watch this guy. 6' 10" 240 Point Forward.

Every team in the NBA is a Lebron or Durant away from being great if you put it that way.

I agree with the statement, but I don't think it's going to take a once in a generational talent for this team to be great. We already have that talent, that building block, in Drummond. Put the right pieces around him (which SVG is starting to do) and we WILL be great.

this team is a Gallo/Hayward type of player away from being a 50 w team, but at a contending level we live and die about Drummond improving his dominance or not.

We don't need a Simmons type of player. We need Al Horford and Stanley Johnson to start. The guy can make plays and is finishing games for us. Let him start and watch the offense expand. But it won't happen until Jennings comes back. Keep in mind we have two good scorers injured. I think Al Horford would be perfect for this team and it would complete the team towards a lock in the Playoffs. Contention? That's on chemistry and internal growth from Stanley Johnson and Andre Drummond. We have our future core. We just need a starting PF. A good one!

Nah, i'd rather watch them fight back when down instead of just losing and getting the losers mentality

He's good but not generational. And yeah a lot of teams are "one guy" away from being great. Put Curry on any team in the league and they immediately become playoff bound at worst.

Imagine Drummond with all that space :droop:

I'd carry reggies bags outta the city if we could get curry

We'd be a semifinals team and have an outside chance of beating cleveland

When you already have 1 generational talent and are 4 yrs into his career, the time to tank for a 2nd generational talent is over. The way you get that player now is by winning and the star you already have dominating, and then he attracts that 2nd star in FA. Which is exactly what they are doing.

After watching what is going on with the 76ers, I dont' know why anyone would want their team to follow that process.

Honestly we should've tanked a long time ago after we had gotten Dre and had Monroe. Since Monroe would've been trade bait all along anyways.

Sometimes, a lucky trade is all you need, which happened to net us Reggie who is a great 2nd to 3rd option on a contender. I'm not keeping hopes high that we'll be able to lure an all-star during FA. Too many things would need to happen for that to occur.

I'm hoping for one more lucky trade in the scope of a Harden-esque level to happen.

KCP is looking more and more like Tony Allen... that shoots too much. A lot depends on him getting it together. If he doesn't, we're also looking for a 2, because Stanley is definitely a 3.

That said, Reggie/?/Stanley/?/Andre is a great start. Get Horford, certainly. Marcus and Ersan are good bench players.

Simmons can't shoot. Horrible fit with Dre.

We need some guards who can create offense for themselves and others P&R or not... our frontcourt is solid (Morris, Stanley, Ersan, Baynes, Tolliver, Dre)

How long until Jennings comes back?

that is the perfect situation, but just in case he is not available, would sign Demare Derozan be a possibility? i think that move would also take us over the top. KCP would take up all back SG and SF minutes where i think he would dominate any back up. starting PF would still be a problem, but i dont think there is going to be a market for stating caliber PF, and if Atlanta makes the playoffs this year i really dont see any reason why Horford would leave.

Melo maybe on the block. Kcp, Morris, Jennings and 2016 1st rounder is enough?

To much. I don't want Melo. Let's get a old guy to add to the young team so we can make the playoffs for the next 2-3 years maybe make it to the ECF once. Then rebuild in 2-3 years when Melo goes to ****, no thanks. Keep the team we have let them grow together, add small pieces unless a young big piece comes available
