Any Interest in Tim Hardaway Jr.

I think he could help upgrade the bench and the Hawks just sent him to the D-League. I don't think he'll get a lot of run on a veteran Hawks team and being around his dad may help... not a flashy move but I think it has upside with no real downside.
Could Reggie Bulluck work?... their salaries match.

Tim Hardaway Jr is junk. He is KCP without the defense and hustle.

Zero interest. Anyone can score if they hoist it up enough. There are no Wolverines in the NBA right now I'd take on the Pistons except McGary, who is now in the D-league as well.

I'd take him. I think Stan and Hardaway sr can develop him properly. The kid has talent. He is a much better offensive player than KCP. He reminds me of Morris a bit in that he just needs the right situation to thrive, in my opinion. He could be a nice cheap longterm scorer off the bench for us.

Straight up for Bullock, sure why not. But i would not offer any picks or anything else. This team really, really could need some scoring help off the bench and KCP needs some rest, he is #2 in minutes played right now at 37 minutes and it effects his offense.

It would be up to Stan and Tim Sr if he wanted to coach his son or it would be weird or mess with chemistry and the if so only for Bullock and no pick sweetener. Jr would be 15th man here when Meeks came back, and probably get much PT here when Jennings is back and Reggie can play 2-guard minutes.

Bullock for Hardaway would be ideal.
Nothing more like giving up a pick in any round though. The guy can't come off the bench in one of the most pace and space teams in the entire league. That's pretty alarming that he can't even crack the rotation even for his so called offensive talent alone. He's overrated in that regard.

The Hawks just gave up a #16 pick overall for him, they're not going to gift him somewhere for spare parts because he's had a bad 20 games. Even if he looks like junk there's no reason to move him when he's locked up for a million bucks a year for two more years.

They just traded the 15th pick for him. I would imagine they would want more then Bullock for him.

Sure, they want more - I just wouldn't pay more. But there is no way they admit a mistake and dump THJ for nothing return either after giving up 16th pick for him. What were they thinking?

They swung at the deal. It's their fault. They won't get a pick for Hardaway. I'd trade Hilliard or Bullock for Hardaway for sure. I like him.

I never said we could actually get him. I just said I would want him if we could. As opposed to others who said they don't like him.
That was a dumb trade by ATL in the first place. I like Hardaway but I would never trade a 16th pick for him. wtf were they thinking.

It was a bad deal, obviously, but THJ wasn't particularly good last year so there must've been something they liked about him; it's not like they bought high on him.
Still, though, he's clearly more worth hanging onto than a nothing player like Bullock so there's zero incentive for ATL. If he stinks six months before his RFA deal is due, then you go ahead and trade him for scraps.

I'd take him if we could get him for nothing. I know he can stand at the 3 at hit open shots. Drive a little. Defense is all effort imo, his daddy would be on him like a Hawk I believe

They traded Oubre for him essentially. Oubre has a ton of upside. Horrible trade.. Oubre was a clear lotto-talent based on his high potential.

I'm innterested in any trade that improves our team and gives us tradeable assets. Question is, who is worse than THjr? If we think he is better than Bullock and we can get that trade done, we should do it.

Bullock > THJ
*right now
Bullock is pretty one dimensional but he does a good job of that "one dimension". He doesn't try to do too much normally. THJ has clean stroke and ability to put the ball on the floor. i think his upside is much higher, his dad is here, and at worst we miss out on RB our 4th guard off the bench
