Isiah without question, Even as good as Reggie is Thomas is the best Piston player to put on the uniform and would take this team to the next level right now.

Isiah. This league is all about guards now

This SHOULD be Dumars; he'd fit perfectly with Jackson, provide scoring, shooting, toughness, and even BETTER defense than KCP. It's the clear perfect fit and upgrade and addresses our current needs.

But I still voted for Isiah. IMHO, we're talking about one of the 20 greatest players to ever play in the NBA and easily a top 5 all time PG (you can argue as high as 2nd all time, depending upon who you qualify as a PG). That type of talent trumps all else; you just take the truly all time great Hall of Famer.

Dumars is the best fit. Better shooter than Isiah. Better defender than Isiah. Capable of being the secondary ball-handler that Reggie needs. Buuuuut.... Zeek was an all-time great at his position and with no hand-checking he'd pretty much have his way with the league. So Zeek. Wouldn't fault a Dumars pick here, but non of those other guys should even be in the conversation. This thread is far less interesting than the other one and that was a landslide too.

Dumars. Thomas and Reggie wouldn't mesh well

Then **** Reggie. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan and think he's going to continue to get better. But if Reggie is in Isiahs way then you kick his arse to the curb and get somebody in here who can play 2nd fiddle to Isiah.

Guess I was too influenced by the disrespect Isiah gets outside this forum and thought this would be competitive. Zeke for me, too.

I think they look at his stats and think they should be better given the fact he's considered one of the greats. But he played on some insanely deep teams. He would be dropping around 30 and 12 on a team like this one in today's league.

Reggie cannot come off the bench and Zeke and Reggie wouldn't work as a pair - neither can shoot and they both need the ball in their hands.

Dumars would fit this teams like a glove - we get a secondary ball-handler and creator so we're less predictable on offense (especially in crunch time), he can space the floor, his defense is all-time-great level, and KCP + Stanley on the bench means that they can at least stop giving up so many baskets.

But damn, can you imagine Rodman and Drummond on the glass? Jesus, it wouldn't be fair.

I voted for Laimbeer just because he's my favorite Piston of all time and I'd love to see him take out a few opposing players.

Has to be Isiah. Rodman would be pretty crazy too. Who is going to out rebound Dre and Rodman? Nobody

Don't say this on the General Board

Thomas is literally a better scoring prime CP3. He'd be the best player in the league if we got him in his prime.

Laimbeer is actually a better rebounder than Rodman. Bill playing stretch 4 would get us to the Finals. Dumars would be a great fit.

However:

Isiah Thomas in todays rules would destroy this league and force Silver to bring back hand checking so other teams could compete.

What makes you think Laimbeer is a better rebounder then the Rodman? Rodman is basically the best rebounder to play the game.
