Should be a really good game,we won the last one and iam sure they are itching to even the score.Rose has been playing better as of late.I want to see that same defensive team we saw down the stretch of last game and shut butler down, wonder if kcp can handle him or if butler is to much, would like to see how johnson fares against him now that he has some games under his belt.Jackson should win this pg matchup.Dre should eat their front court up.LETS GET THIS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Every time we play the Bulls my biggest fear is Aaron Brooks...

Rose is getting closer to the player he was once. I've heard he's gotten better. His speed is there. Not really explosion to the basket but all you need is speed to dominate in the NBA and Rose has that and his head. I have a feeling he's going off on us. Morris will have to defend Butler this time.

Could also just be a hot streak for Rose. He will need to elevate his game for a decent sample size before I say he is getting closer to the old Rose. I think many Bulls fans would still want to dump his contract.

I'm surprised the Bulls are first in the league in rebounding with that front court. It's a solid front court but you wouldn't think it is a dominant rebounding one.

They're huge. Might be the biggest front court in the league next to Memphis but they've also got size on the bench. Butler, Mirotic, Noah, Gibson, and Gasol. Those are great rebounders.

I guess I just think of Mirotic as a jump shooting white Euro (not typically the best rebounders), Noah as washed up, Gasol as old, and Gibson as a role player. I guess they do a good job of team rebounding though.

Mirotic isn't your average Euro player. He's very solid like the Gasols are. I really like him. He'd be great next to Drummond.

Al Horford has returned to the Wasserman Media Group as his agency.
Horford joined with Bill Duffy of BDA Sports Management earlier this year.
Horford had been represented by Arn Tellem at Wasserman for much of his career. He briefly left the agency when Tellem joined the front office of the Detroit Pistons.
Horford will be a free agent this offseason.
“It’s just a personal decision,” Horford told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I just felt more comfortable being with Wasserman.”

There's actually a good chance Horford comes here. He knows we'd be better with him and we have equal records right now. SVG coached a while against the Hawks for Orlando so I'm sure they both know their success. I think it'll take a max contract to get him but I'm sure other teams are willing to give it to him as well. If the market sets Horford for a max, so be it. I don't see why he wouldn't come here unless the Hawks find more success in the Playoffs.

Him and his family apparently also moved to Michigan in 2000, before he went to Florida for college. He's really the only realistic PF free agent available that is a clear upgrade over Ilyasova and fits SVG's system. Assuming we don't find an upgrade at PF through trades during the season, we should absolutely throw a max at him. There is no way he doesn't get the max. Also, I could definitely see him leaving ATL now that they've dropped off so much as a team. People were so surprised by ATL's season last year because their roster doesn't really look all that great. Budenholzer is the MVP of that team. Now that they are back to being a fringe playoff team, which you would normally expect given their roster, there isn't a lot of reason to stay there. Lastly, the connections he has with us may help nudge him in our direction now.
He fits perfectly with us too now that he can shoot the 3 ball. He is taking 3 3PAs per game and shooting a respectable 34.5% for a big man. He is also a much better rebounder than Ilyasova and a fantastic defensive player too. He would be a presence in the paint and in the P&R defensively. Given all of this he should be our primary target in free agency. Unfortunately, most other teams will be looking to sign him too. An ideal offseason would be signing Horford to the max first, then signing Drummond to a max, and then resigning Jennings to a long term deal (assuming he recovers enough from his injury).
Jackson/Jennings/Dinwiddie
Caldwell-Pope/Meeks/Bullock/Hilliard
Johnson/Morris
Horford/Ilyasova/Tolliver
Drummond/Baynes/Anthony
That is easily a championship level team with tremendous depth and balance. Imagine the defense

If the rest of the season proves we are set at SG with KCP and Jennings as 6th man, this would be my dream offseason too. Go all in on the best PF available, and Horford is such a perfect fit on so many levels. Skill-wise, connection with Tellem, played high school ball here, and would be that veteran leader that could take us to the next level. He would be worth a max deal.

It would probably be like the Rashard Lewis deal in Orlando for us.

Horford has a money midrange too from pick and pops and just spotting up there.
He's plenty the floor spacer than the rest of the stretch 4 that only shoots 3s. He's versatile.
Also Horford can play backup center too which is awesome.

Imagine how good Chicagos backcourt would have been if Rose never would have had injuries make him a lesser player

Exactly. A lot of people criticized that Rashard deal because he objectively wasn't worth it if you look at his individual talent and stats but it was absolutely worth it for the team as it played a huge role in vaulting ORL into championship contender status.

Indeed. He would be what we wanted Monroe to be. Too bad Monroe couldn't defend the P&R or hit an outside shot. Having Horford as a backup C would also provide Ilyasova with enough minutes and reduce Baynes, who is nothing special
