I know some of you are Lions fans and like me know what its like to see the sunshine only to find a cluster f* of rain, lighting , hail and brimstone. Well my friends, i am here with buckets on buckets of SUNSHINE. We just hired Bob Quin as our new GM, and if you do a little research on him and listen to the things he's saying. He's attacking the Lions in a very similar fashion that SVG attacked the Pistons and for the first time in 30+ years , we have someone in our FO with a different view/ way.

Our very own poster Iceness had a great write up about this. I posted it on the Lions board. Great read

I like everything he has said so far but as a Lions fan its hard to get really excited until something good actually happens on the field. It should be fun to see what roster moves he makes tho.

I hope he trades a 2020 second rounder for Dez Bryant.

The SVG of the Lions just retained Mo Cheeks to remain as their coach.

Not necessarily agreeing with this analogy, but what if Cheek's staff had included Brad Stevens and Mike Budenholzer? And yes, that's how much I think of Austin and Cooter (particularly Austin, who's clearly a HC in waiting). Quinn can always broom Caldwell and promote Austin down the line, but firing Caldwell now probably meant losing both Coordinators (as the new coach would've wanted to hire his own staff).

Caldwell's far from perfect, but if the other option was Quinn "sticking with who he knows" and bringing Josh McDaniels over from New England? Yeah, then I'm okay continuing to put up with Caldwell.

I believe if we lost Caldwell we lose Calvin too. Calvin doesn't want to go through a new coaching staff. Hopefully we can restructure his contract keep Cooter and Austin and pick up where we left off this year. If it wasn't for the BS call against Seattle and the Hail Mary against GB Detroit is in playoffs over GB, maybe Seattle too. Caldwell for sure needs to go for the throat more when we have a good lead tho, unless of course our running game improves a lot it could.

Calvin ain't worth they money he's going to get paid - Belichick is soulless with his personel decisions, let's see if Quinn in the same.

I said, we have to restructure Calvins contract. If we don't pretty sure he will be released or traded.

Guy is thinking about retiring. He's been hurt every season. I think his contract gets off the books this offseason and we can use the space to sign others.

No one is going to trade for Calvin. They'll wait for him to either walk or get cut.
