What can we get sign n trading him?

We can get to start over with 1 in - 4 out personnel and no one to be the 1 in. Not gonna happen.

His trade value is likely very high, though, if it were to happen. He's a game changer, even if he has a ridiculously easy to exploit weakness.

Drummond is not a franchise centerpiece. The sooner folks in the FO and Gores realizes it the better. But they're still going to pay him $120M - pay him like a superstar, talk him up like a true franchise player when he's a very good complementary piece.

Detroit should have traded Dre for Cousins when DMC was butting heads with Karl. DMC's problem is he's too intense and wants it too much - I much better "problem" to have than Dre's "basketball is a good way to meet friends" attitude.

Sure we can. Its not like we actually have good 4-out players, we just play that scheme. Simply get a regular defensive minded grinder center who maybe offers 10-10 with a couple blocks a game (and shoots 70%+ from the FT line) and then a low post PF, and then allow the 3 to attack the paint - both Mook and Johnson could do that.

We missed our chance to get Cousins

Ive been saying this from the beginning, why would Drummond stay in Detroit when he can go to the Lakers and become their franchise C of the future while living in warm sunny LA?

Now it looks like him and SVG are butting heads as he sits many 4th quarters and looks pissed as fcuk while doing it

I'm sure Van Gundy and Cousins would have gotten along famously.

I think you're making way too much out of what's gone on in the last couple of games. Drummond and SVG will be okay. Any working relationship is going to have problems from time to time. We haven't seen enough to be worried yet.

Aside from attitude he has serious basketball iq and technique bugs.

I would only trade Dre for Cousins. No one else (not including the superstars that are never being traded). That being said, Cousins isn't getting moved anymore and Dre is best friends with Gores. He's staying. I've accepted it. Even if he becomes Larry Sanders 2.0

SVG needs to give Dre a kick in the a$$ once in a way. Dre needs to be more consistent with his effort, because he takes games off and can get down on himself too easily. Having said that, we don't trade Dre. Plain and simple.

Look dre aint do **** and got torched. But the bigget picture is the roster atm. Rj, bj, sj, kcp, morris, baynes, dre, ily. Those are the players worth keeping (although id entertain bj trade offers). That said, we need to get a better starting pf so that we can add ilyasova to our 2nd unit.

The majority of you are reluctant to add a real sized pf to the team because of how dre played with monroe but newsflash, monroe was a slow footed bum who didn't compliment dre. There's other regular sized pf that can play good with dre out there.

Having another real pf will help dre conserve energy since he won't need to grab every board plus ideally, the power would be able to at least hit some midrange shots to still clear the paint for dre. Having undersized inconsistent shooters with a big guy who shoots under 35% freethrows and has an improved but not perfected post game aint doing us any justice.

Svg in Orlando, had Ryan Anderson(6'11) rashad lewis (6'9 1/2) hedo (6'10). They played the same way we do 4 out 1 in but they weren't walking mismatches because there 6'8. Ilyasova nd tolliver are small foward height. Stanley Johnson should only be playing 2 n some 3 but svg always wants sj to guard bigger guys. If we have sj at the 2 and get him more comfortable(aka give him kcp's greenlight) then we have a guy who can create a mismatch.

Regardless tho, i think we need to get a power foward whos good enough to push ilyasova to our 2nd unit. And replace sj in the starting lineup with kcp and have kcp be our bench spark plug.

Reggie plays slow so Johnson can compliment rj with how he can create off the dribble and pick n rolls. Bj picks up the tempo and he can find kcp on the fastbreak running the wing or set him up in the half court

Both Drummond and SVG will be here a long time. Threads like this are only here by people who think the NBA is a video game where players are traded left and right whenever there is perceived friction.
