Monroe's will give you a consistent 16-17ppg with 10 rebounds a game pretty efficiently, but in this day and age if you're a starting big man and:

1. You don't protect the rim or impact the game much defensively.
2. You can't stretch the floor from mid range, much less from three.
3. You are the same player you were in your 2nd season
4. Aren't a 1st or 2nd option level scorer

Then you have a problem. As for MCW...Knight has his flaws, but he's twice the player MCW is.

Dammit, send Monroe to the Thunder for Kanter!

I'll gladly take Monroe back in a Piston uniform if he accepts a 6th-man role.

bucks have 4 very good guy in the starting line up and 3 of them can't shoot. MCW, Giannis and Parker (he has midrange). Monroe is very good one on one defender but horrendous pick and roll defender. They should trade Parker and Giannis for a superstar forward and get rid of MCW.
Sorry for my poor english

I still cant believe the bucks traded Knight for MCW, Brandon Knight was the only guy who could shoot on that team and they replaced him with a terrible shooter.

It's being put out there by Gery Woelfel. Don't put much stock into it.

Keep him away from here. You don't win with a no defense under the rim center like him.

According to some on here, we also won't win with a no defense OVER the rim center like Dre.

This should be the opening post. Woefel was the guy that said 100% Monroe was going to the Knicks and Tyson Chandler was a done deal to MIL.

End thread.

When Drummond is engaged he's one of the most impactful players in the league

I think it's hilarious that Monrore went to the Bucks with the smug attitude that he was going to a much better organization with a much brighter future. Now in year one alone the Pistons appear to have a more clear direction and the team "he chose" as a free agent is taking offers for him.

I guess Monroe fan boys should get ready to move on to the next team?
Good times.

So glad we dodged that contract.
