Sources: Detroit Pistons have discussed a deal to acquire Tobias Harris from the Orlando Magic for Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova

Pistons & Magic are progressing on deal that would send Tobias Harris to Detroit & Brandon Jennings/Ersan Ilyasova to Orlando, I'm told

The talks were reported by @MikeAScotto. Nothing done, but seeming likely at this point.

If there's no picks involved and it's just Harris for Jennings/Ily then I'm pretty pleased about this deal. Tobias has been having an awful season and there's definitely some warts in his game, but this is buying very low and he's a pretty flexible player in regards to his fit in the lineup (able to play 3 & 4). He's just 23 so he fits in with our core very well.

Wow, No picks involved, SVG has been great so far as a GM. He's completely transformed this roster in a little over a year and has gotten good Young players for scraps.

SVG is a boss trader. Omg

Woah! Guess a lot of us will get to see our top FA target from last summer now. Not sure how I feel, he hasn't had a great season. But I don't think that changes what he can bring to the Pistons.

Will need to get another backup pg in the next couple days hopefully.

How does this help our team?

We trade our starting PF for a SF? We already have a SF in Mook and Stanley

Who is gonna play PF? Mook? Our 3pt shooting would be horrendous if that is the case

Very interesting, I dont think he is much better than morris but he is way better than Illy, I dont like that contract tho. He does have a ton of talent tho and is only 23 years old.

I like it, I don't love it. As said above, he's not really a stretch guy. I think he's a slightly above average player making pretty good money. But I do trust SVG.

i like this, his skills will be used well here. definitely got the better end of that deal.

I'm guessing Tobias will be used as a stretch 4. Clear upgrade imo.

Always good to add a young piece like this, 23 years old, fits right in with our core. I just hope he can improve his 3 point percentage.
