He was on our summer league team. Solid stretch 4. Like a poor mans Tolliver.

I think we should be picking up Novak or Bergiani off waivers.

i believe this guy played on our summer league team and he had a nice stroke as well as some athleticism . I agree that we should pick up Bargs, except for the fact that there is probably a reason Brook waived him.

I floated Perry Jones III on the T&T board, but I don't mind Harper. I mean, to find a diamond in the rough, you gotta go searching the rough.

He's been real good for the Defenders down in the Dleague this year, even made the all star as a starter...
Plus there's familiarity there seeing hes been on our last two SL teams..

This is a guy who looks to have paid his dues overseas and in the D-league. He puts up efficient stats but not mind-blowing stats. That could be a good thing since he most likely is used to playing a complimentary role. Maybe he's another Hassan Whiteside? haha yeah right..

Novak signed with the Bucks, he grew up in Milwaukee.

good move
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.

There is this one report that the Pistons plan to sign Harper, but he is a D League player I thought might be considered. He had some good games during the SL. (for what that's worth) Justin does hustle and runs the floor pretty well. He has an outside shot. Were the Pistons to consistently show the effort they did last night (Cleveland), he could be about as good a fit as we're likely to find right now.

We still have the worst bench in the league. If Stanley is out longer we are screwed. Cant expect 5 starters to play great every single game. Blake, Baynes, Hilliard offer no reliable offensiv output. This is where DMo and Thornton could have made a big difference. Too bad, lets see what Justin Harper can do.

I don't think he's going to get much more time than Bullock. He's filling a seat on the bench but won't see a lot of meaningful minutes in the current situation.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Can we stop the Bargiani love? I mean, outside of him on a personal level, I can't believe someone had to write that sentence. He's horrible.

Clearly his highlight videos show he will be a superstar.

I'm more so curious about his weaknesses... he's 26 and hasn't got but of a chance in the league with what appears to be lots of upside.

What parts of his game have held him back from getting to the next level?

He looks slow and rather unathletic. All he is is a shooter - no rebounds or blocks or steals just looking at his raw stats.
