with march madness about to start, what are some prospects that look like they would be a good fit for what the pistons are doing, my Draft board for potential targets for the pistons to land are: (I tried to stay out of the projected top 5 so far because i thought cost would be too high.)
1. Deyonta Davis
2. Skal Labissiere
3. Domantas Sabonis
4. Ivan Rabb
5. Brice Johnson
6. Henry Ellenson
7. Demetrius Jackson
8. Diamond Stone
9. Damian Jones
10. Caris LeVert

i think hes is going to be a good pro, but i hope we dont draft him, we need a big or point guard more than we need a wing.

i've noticed people have skal high on their boards but he is like the opposite of what SVG/Bower have put on the roster so far in two years. the genera formula is a center that is big and can bang (generally speaking) and a power forward that is a legit three point shooter. considering skal has range to about 15 feet i wouldn't see him being too high on the pistons board.
skal is a big project and one i wouldn't touch around the 15th pick.

Valentine is a beast, He would be great running the second unit as a combo guard 6th man. I really want him and will be pissed if we pas on him if he's there.

1. Deyonta Davis-->likely he won't declare
2. Skal Labissiere-->same thing
3. Domantas Sabonis-->good fit
4. Ivan Rabb-->Top10
5. Brice Johnson-->late first/early second
6. Henry Ellenson-->small chance that we can pick him. Late lottery I guess
7. Demetrius Jackson-->very good option to cover our backup PG
8. Diamond Stone-->it doesn't make sense having Drummond and Baynes
9. Damian Jones-->same thing
10. Caris LeVert-->second round because of his injury.
My options:
-Tyler Ullis
-Grayson Allen
-Domantas Sabonis
-Juancho Hernangomez
-Furkan Korkmaz
-Demetrius Jackson
-Stephen Zimmerman
-Ben Bentil

if he is there at 15 i think you have to pull the trigger, at 19 he has great touch for 15 feet, a couple of moves down low and a very light frame that needs work. the one part i do disagree with is the system fit. last year SVG pointed out that you have to be able to play multiple ways to be dominant in this league, the skill set that skal would bring later down the road is something we dont have, a 7 footer who has a good face up game, and can be a shot blocker. he also has a great chance to be dominant down the road, i truly see him as a Aldridge-type player if he puts it all together. but your right i wouldn't expect much out of him the first two to three years.

Aye, if we take a guard then cool cause i like a couple guards in the draft but as far as bigs go, yall need to check up on kris dunns teammate at providence Ben Bentil. This dude is a f'ing goon on the block. This whole season teams have doubled bentil and hes been averaging 21ppg and 7.8 rbds. Not only is his 3pointer wet, but he can put the ball on the floor as well. I would love to have bentil and dre as a frontcourt

I really like Bentil. He has tons of potential but he is still raw. There is a dilemma with him. He should stay another year but without Dunn he might struggle.
I woudn't pick him in a range 14-20 but if we can trade-down and get two picks of 20-30 range I would draft him and Ulis.

We should take Valentine if he is the BPA regardless of fit. He can be our 2 guard off the bench once we get rid of Meeks and maybe he can even give our resident 2-god, KCP, a run for his money as a starter.

I guess the tournament bump for Valentine can be put to rest.

Yeah that was erratically disappointing.
Sigh.

Yup. I always root for the Michigan teams, and this was a big disappointment.

Can someone that has watched multiple Marquette games (not just highlights) explain to me what the draw is with Henry Ellenson? I've watched his highlights and I'm left wondering how he is projected so high. He's only shooting 28% from the 3pt line and has terrible athleticism. I know he's scored well but on the next level where the defence is that much more agile, stronger and longer/bigger I really question how well his skills will translate.
Admittedly, I also said something similar about Booker so I'm seeking outside council on this one :p haha
