Saw someone post this. Thought it was pretty cool. Reggie is one of the main reasons we're playing well this year too. I'm a fan.

Re: Reggie Jackson, The Good Guy
russ is an ass. hes a try-hard. seems like he has a real problem with reggie because reggie wanted a chance whether it was in okc or elsewhere.

Re: Reggie Jackson, The Good Guy
it's hard for me to get a read on reggie's character. part of me reads that report and thinks, "reggie's a nice dude". another part of me reads that and thinks, "he probably did that just to piss off westbrook*".
reggie has had his bouts in immaturity here. there was a period earlier in the year when his and drummond's body language was atrocious, which was right around the time jennings had that quote about the team not having any leaders (if i remember correctly).
a few games ago reggie snapped and when some of the guys tried to calm him down/get him away he was pushing them off and stuff. i know guys get heated but that didn't really sit well with me. you never like to see your guys pushing each other, especially when they're trying to help you.
and then his celebration last game. i think he was pretty clearly parading in front of the thunder and rubbing it in their faces. you can call it whatever you want, passionate/excited/getting the crowd going, etc. but one thing i don't think you can call it is mature. he has been a piston for more than a year and still hasn't gotten over his beef with OKC? * this goes back to my first comment, if reggie is still feels that strongly about whatever happened with the thunder then how bad did it get in the locker room last year?
sorry if i was rambling, i'm very much rooting for reggie on this team but i do think he has some growing up to do.

Re: Reggie Jackson, The Good Guy
Count me in as a fan already..inconsistent at times but this is his first year as a full time starter playing big minutes...so i'll cut him some slack..already a fringe All Star and is only going to get better through his improving shot and chemistry with this team..
That said judging a guy based on things that happen in the heat and emotion of battle so to speak on the court is silly really..he's been great off the court as far as a character guy and the team seems to really like him. That and he's bf's with our franchise player which helps lol

According the general board even Ibaka doesn't like RJ so that probably kills any chance we have of landing him.

I think they look at him as real competition. They wouldn't be wasting so much energy on it. I'm a believer in Reggie. I think we can win with him. No PG is perfect. Well, maybe Curry..

it's not only Bondom, we've taken three "unwanted castoffs" from other teams and made them a big part of our team - and we're succeeding.
morris - pegged to be a selfish knucklehead, he's shown a temper but other than been great all around
harris - labelled a poor defender, inefficient player, whatever, and has come in and completely changed our offense for the better
jackson - team cancer, not a true point guard, etc. and has come in to be a huge part of our team.
i don't know who to give credit to, whether it's our NBA scouting department for finding guys that were ready for bigger roles, SVG for turning them around, Bower for capitalizing on locker room struggles, etc. though it's likely a combination of a lot of things and it's paid huge dividends for us.
i'm excited for playoffs this year but i'm especially psyched for the next 2-3 years.

Hey, I swore I wouldn't post here anymore because honestly, I don't want any trouble.
But 2 points:
1. RE: Serge...
http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/24788012/kendrick-perkins-and-serge-ibaka-froze-out-reggie-jackson-vs-nets
He does not like Jackson, that's not a lie. Apparently Adams doesn't now either, KD and Russ didn't before.
2. I was wrong about you guys making the playoffs. I still don't think Reggie is a top tier PG (a bit above average. But he was better than what you had. SVG has done well getting talent with Harris though, and Drummond is fantastic.
I'll let it there, and frankly that's all I got. Have a good night, good luck the rest of the season. I hope no OKC guys bug you, and again good luck.
Edit: Also, I have no problem with you guys as long as you're not actively being a jerk toward someone. I like most everyone here and would appreciate pretty well not being called out on other boards for no reason. But that's neither here nor there.
Edit: And sorry, I was reading through team boards and saw this. I guess I shouldn't do that anymore either. Whatever.

he most definitely is a lurker and posted on this board more often in the past, however he's rubbed several Detroit posters the wrong way(like suspending another Detroit poster yesterday) so he smartly doesn't post to avoid more trouble.
Whats not brought up by the OP is that RJ and Dre are close and in fact there are numerous reports of RJ being overly inviting and open to his teammates.
What i love about our team is that no one gives a sh* about playing time, we all have one goal and thats winning . For the first time in a long we have a team that is actually a team and love each other , that starts at RJ.

Re: Reggie Jackson, The Good Guy
Reggie wouldn't capitulate to Russ and KD's bullying. He's blossoming on his own team and they can't stand it. And honestly I think the frustration of never putting it together is getting to them.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I think a lot of people ought to be eating crow about Jackson on the Pistons, and I'm not just talking about Thunder fans, either.
The level of vitriol and nastiness when he got his contract this offseason was absolutely insane- probably the most poorly received signing of the offseason in an offseason where Demare Carroll got 60 million dollars, Wesley Matthews and (sorry) Enes Kanter got 70 million apiece.
And yeah. Thunder fans don't like Jackson. Players I'm sure hate him even more, all evidence suggested they did when he was moved and everything we've seen from them since then reinforces it. Nor do I blame them. I've now said multiple times that if I was an OKC fan or player, I'd probably hate the guy too.
I still don't like Durant's "who cares about Detroit" remark. You really lose the moral high ground when you disrespect an entire city, team, and fanbase just because you've got a beef with their starting point guard.

Yeah, I think he should have definitely left that part out, or just said who cares about one game or something like it. I'm not a fan of that comment myself. Whatever he wants to say about Jackson is fine and good, but don't really care for showing up a city and fanbase, I'd be disrespected if someone said it about OKC too.
