It depends more on the Pacers than us. We can definitely win out the rest of the season. Pacers have to choke or rest their starters if they want a real shot at the Playoffs. If they want the Raptors, Paul George can't rest and won't be as rested as Derozan. If they want to rest him, then he'll have enough energy to go against Cleveland. I think the next two games are pretty much a wild card. It would be smart to not rest our players as we've had a whole bunch of 2 days rests the past two weeks and we're a young team. If we win the last two games, first off, we'd have 45 wins!! (Max I predicted) and second we'd have a legitimate chance to beat the Raptors in the First Round. The difference maker? Stan Van Gundy. Coaching wins a lot in the post season and I love that we have a coach with lots of experience in the Playoffs. He's done an outstanding job this season and will team the team extra things in the Playoffs. It's kind of nice not to have a homecourt advantage. Assume two losses and understand the game and take them head one with two games at home.

Reggie Jackson has experience too.

I think matchup wise Cleveland would be a lot easier than Toronto.

The main reason I want the Raptors is their lack of sheer talent. Lowery is playing at an all-world level, and DeRozan is a perfect complement to him. There is a reason the Pistons lead the league in starters scoring in double figures and since Harris it's been absolutely absurd how hard they are to gaurd.

Talent wise the Pistons Starters have a definitive edge. They also have the coaching edge rather easily.

Everything else though?

All Raptors. This is the main reason I don't want the Raptors.

Intangibles, experience, bench and the determination that comes from several grueling playoff losses.

It's a tough call with the current team as they have a super talented starting 5 but not experience and gaping holes on the bench.

I really want the Raptors too, but as has been said, we have to rely on the Pacers losing 1 or 2 games coming up

The starting lineup you will likely see from the Raptors is this
Lowry, DeMar, Powell, Carroll & JV versus Jackson, KCP, Harris, Morris, Drummond
Key 2nd unit
Joseph, Ross, Patterson, Bismack
Depth
Thompson, Scola, Johnson, Wright

Will be very hard for the Pistons to match Toronto's starting 5. Most Piston fans haven't seen Powell play but he is strong defensively (shut down George last game) has a 3 point shot and can slash. He got his chance because of injuries but has earned a starting spot.
The 2nd unit of Joseph, Lowry, Ross, Patterson & Bismack is one of the 2 best best in the NBA.

But happy the Pistons made the playoffs congratulations.

If we get to 7th, the Raptors have been together for a while and they have more depth. They should win.
On the other hand, we have no pressure and a very young talented core. If our guys come out with energy, we can make some noise.

we have 10 to 15% chances to play the Raptors in 1st round.

In a 7 game series there ain't a team on the planet that worries me!

Not ONE!

You wanna die in the paint? We got Dre for that!

You wanna die on the wing? We got KCP, Mook, Harris, Bull, SJ for that.

You wanna give it up to the PG? RJ will own you when it counts!

I ain't here to type essays - my preaching days are over. I ain't here to predict the playoffs of 2016 either - predictions are pointless.

I'm here to tell you how it's gonna begin! Make no mistake - THIS is the beginning!

Raptors? Cavs? It don't matter. Get ready to glimpse the future! Like a solar eclipse it's a thing of beauty. Stand back in wonder! How a team that was going nowhere slow could turn it all round in 18 months!

WE are the future! Brace yourselves! An athletic man in the middle! Two hybrid forwards! Two defensive wings! An All Star PG! And a bench big made of granite!

The time has come! You want playoff basketball? Then you've got it!

Be careful what you wish for though - cause you just might get it

we can win 1 or 2 games in the upcoming post-season, 50 games next year (and a playoff serie), be conference finals bound in 2017-2018.

and then...

Both are very tough outs, but I think we compete better with the Raps when both are in playoff mode because, LeBron.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
