My money is on the Pitons..

I think we can steal a couple games. Honestly it takes allot of nerves and pressure off now not expecting to win the series and it's all about developing for next year.

I'd be fine with 1 win.

Pistons have nothing to lose in this series. Nobody will be expecting them to win, but if they can get a game or two it will be huge for this team going forward.

Cavs are the best team in the East, but we're better than a typical 8th seed team. Pistons got the coaching advantage, and Reggie has played well in the postseason with OKC. I have no clue what to expect from this team in a playoff series, but they certainly have the ability to give the Cavs some fits.

Even if we get swept, oh well. I would be happy to get a game, but in general I just want us to at least be somewhat competitive in the series and leave it all out of the floor.

All that matters is that we are here, we just need to play our hardest and maybe we could steal a game or 2. This is great experience for this team and hopefully we build on it and have an even better season next year.

I preferred CLE. Not because I think they're easier (they're not). The goal here is to gain playoff experience though, and there's more valuable experience to be gained playing against a team that went to the Finals last year than a team that's never won a series before. 4 straight games against the best team in the East is going to make us a better team next year, whether we win or not.

Next year Lebron will be 32... if things progress like expected the Pistons will be ready to make a serious run in two years.

my hope - expectation is too strong a word - is that we compete in every game. we could lose in four games but i hope we at least give our best shot every game and are somewhat close.

i'm not expecting much from a win/loss perspective but how well we compete is a lot more important given the situation.


now into the specifics - morris absolutely has to guard lebron whenever he's on the floor. harris would get roasted and we have no other options lol. match KCP on irving (i think this is a good matchup) and put reggie on JR smith/Shumpert. put harris on love and dre guards whoever.

i'm not exactly sure why but we've been pretty good at stifling lebron against us in the regular season the last two years. last year in four games we kept lebron to under 40% shooting in four games and this year we kept him to 42% shooting in three games. i know from what i remember dre has done a great job at protecting the rim against him.

No sweep and I'm good with that next season will be better

If Detroit makes it past the Cavs to face the Raptors, and we beat the Raptors. Warriors got no chance

Depressing because i really wanted the Raptors, hopefully we can win 1 game against the Cavs.

I think we will win 1, maybe 2 games if KCP and/or Marcus gets hot offensively. I'm very worried about our bench... There's definitely a chance we get swept.

0-4. We are young, inexperienced and terrible at defense. Non of those things bode well for us. We'll most definitely be down 0-2 after traveling to Cleveland and if we go down 0-3 I expect to get blown out in 4, so the only real chance I think we have of actually winning a game would be if we come out guns blazing in game 3.

I'm not buying any of this crap about being a good matchup or how they can't handle Dre. The dude isn't Shaq. He's not going off for 40 & 20 every game. Frankly I'll be happy if we just make the games somewhat competitive for 3+ quarters.

The important thing here is that we've taken a big step just by getting this far and we'll grow from the experience. Which I'm trilled with. But you guys better be prepared for the Pistons to get their asses handed to them lol

Would be good to steal one or, at least, give the effort and make an impression like Boston did last year.
