"I had a talk with Stan today, and so I'll leave it at that," Van Gundy said during Thursday's media availability. "I told him what I thought about his comments and everything. That's a discussion that we had today."

Van Gundy admitted that he cringed a little when he first saw the comments.

"Well, look, you do [cringe] a little bit," he said. "But you also, you have to realize he's a 19-year-old kid going through this for the first time. You get him right after a game like that, and he's frustrated and all of that. We met. We talked. He knows how I feel, what my concerns are, but it wasn't a -- at least I hope he didn't take -- it wasn't an anger session. It wasn't a 'You're an a--h---' type of thing. It wasn't. It's just another learning experience for a 19-year-old kid."

I think Stanley said the right thing. Lebron is not a God and he shouldn't be treated that way. He's going to play the game the best way to win it so it doesn't matter what say to him. He has a bigger motivation than Stanley and that's the championship. The more he has the ball the better because that's how you beat the Cavs. I'm not afraid of Lebron. I think Stanley has every right to talk trash as he's the one defending him and he's an NBA player. The only thing you could take from Stanley is he's 19 years old and talking to the best basketball player in the world. It's not like he said anything out of order. He just needs to show respect. But knowing where he's from, WELCOME TO DETROIT!

I don't have an issue with SJ not kissing the ring of King James, I love the fact that he is more than willing to spit in the eye and make no apology for it. My issue is that in Game 2 it looked like SJ got served, and him talking about being in Lebron's head seams delusional. Get out of his head and get in his face! I love that I don't have to worry about him backing down. Say whatever you want to say, just realize that talk is cheap and we want to see you put Lebum on his @$$.

Ummm NO!

SJ is playing for the championship too! He's not interested in the odds or the "reality" of his situation - he's in it to win it
