Van Gundy coached this game like a dumb

SVG is a joke. We went small ball, yet never put in a shooting guard off the bench either.

Because Stanley was playing great, that's why.
It LITERALLY makes no sense. How can you be so stubborn about your rotation if it's clearly not working?
He keeps trotting Steve Blake's corpse out there when he is getting annihilated on defense.

I'm sure SVG has his reasons, and since he's a professional and successful coach in the NBA, the best basketball league in the entire world, I think he probably make the right decision. Of course everybody fails, but even when he take a wrong decision, it's safe to think he's at least trying to see the effects of his actions.

Again, our goal right now isn't win. We're trying to win of course, because be competitive helps our main goal, but win is not our target yet.

Would you like to explain in detail the difference, and also explain why SVG isn't "trying to win"

Whatever. I just hope hes a starter next season. He's one of the few who has shown heart and he's been way more efficient than mook, harris. Were slowing his development by bringing him off the bench for 12 min or whatever it is

IDK but I've fallen in love with this kid all over again from watching him rise up like he has in the playoffs.

This is more or less exactly what I was hoping for from SJ this year in the playoffs. He's been aggressive, he's been tough, he's been a Piston. Great to see.
