Horrible coaching this time. Period.

Yeah, we compete all the game only because our players are very good. There wasn't any SVG adjustments putting in troubles at the Cavs.

You can criticize SVG for some of his decisions but ultimately what this game, and the series as a whole comes down, is a significant talent deficit. They have LeBron (top 10 player ever), Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and numerous solid role players like Dellavadova, JR Smith and Thompson. It's difficult to compete with that, but for the majority of the game, we did.

Two out of bounds plays where they were super limited on time and we just flat out lost on those two plays. Dre didn't get a hand up on Thompson when he got it with 1.7 seconds on the shot clock and Stan almost had a brain aneurism and then Baynes didn't get out to the shooter in time on that corner three by Irving which did take a year or two off SVG's life.

dre not stepping out on thompson is pretty inexcusable. you know the guy isn't a great shooter but you don't want him to step into a rhythm 12 footer virtually uncontested. the second this happened SVG was flipping out on the sidelines. it was at this point where i think dre really fell off from all the hustling he was doing earlier. maybe he was just tired but who knows.

i think the irving 3 was harris' responsibility, but i'm just going off memory. there was two guys crowding the guy in the paint (thompson?) and harris was the one higher up which usually means it's his rotation over to the wing. harris also reacted late and tried to contest the shot which makes me feel it was his responsibility.

this is a big part of the "youth" and "inexperience" of our roster. we can play hard 98% of the time relatively mistake-free but that inexperience comes out in spurts or when the game is on the line. reggie is also a good example of this, he made great decisions all game only to force that layup at the end. the time he tripped wasn't "choking" in my eye, it was simply unfortunate.

Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.
