Have you guys think about bring Anthony Bennett to detroit?

He is still young and and he should be cheap. It is a low risk high reward deal. Even it doesn't work, we lost nothing.

I used to think this. I even started a thread about how we should trade Monroe for him two years ago. I'm glad we don't have him. He's very bad.
I'm ashamed of my horrible idea even tho we got nothing for Monroe.

I'm on board.

We could pick up Kwame Brown, Jonny Flynn, and convince Darko Milicic that the farm life is for suckers. We'd Ooze so much potential

If we wanted someone like Anthony Bennett we would have picked up Michael Beasley who is a way more talented scorer. I honestly don't even know what Bennett can do well and I don't think he has the heart or the desire to hustle to make up for his short-comings.

I used to think he could be a cheap pickup as well, but I think the ship has sailed on him. One of the worst #1 picks of all time.

This idea gets worse every offseason.

This has shades of QMiller all over again.

Guys there's a reason why some of these youngerish guys can't stick with teams. Vast majority of the time there's something that they don't have to even be a permanent rotation player. Goes far beyond just being "raw."

I'd rather we sign Shawne Williams again over Bennett unfortunately. Even his hometown didn't even want him.

If hes available for the D-league draft, then maybe. Hes still 23. But he doesn't seem to be able to anything that stands out.

He put up 9ppg on 34% shooting in the DLeague.

/thread

Once upon a time I thought he had potential. But being drafted #1 and starting his career injured/out of shape killed whatever talent or confidence he had in college.

Really wonder what it would take for people to stop bringing this guy up as an option.

He probably should have been included in the trash heap thread. Bennet now has more threads about him than positive contributions to an NBA team.

So Imma pass on him

His retirement?

The league is full of players with "marginal" skills but they hang on to roster spots

Why didn't Bennett?

If people knew the answer to that question he'd never be mentioned again

IMO it's what's between his ears that caused his exit. I don't believe he'll ever fix that

Why should he get a shot, Because he was the #1 pick?
