i didn't watch this video but i watched the second scouting report that guy uploaded and it was a joke. he'd be showing video of maker getting torched in the full court press and then say things like "look maker is at the head of the press, that's special from a big man".

he'd show video of maker standing around and letting the the other team get offensive board after offensive board and then say "he's going to be an elite rebounder in the nba in a couple years".

based on how unimpressed i was with the second scouting report i'm not gonna watch the first one, no offense.

You do realize he would have played at kansas nd been a top 4 pick next season. This is a no brainer. He plays defense, can shoot 2s 3s nd freethrows, blocks shots, runs floor, can handle the ball better than porzingus. Whats not to like?

He's been hyped by some YouTube vids but apparently has struggled against high school level competition.

I'm intrigued. He is being viewed as a 2nd round pick. Would be nice to have a 1st round pick in the 25-30 range.

Almost a legit 7' with 7'3" wingspan and can stretch the floor. Sure he would need time to develop but it could be a risk worth taking as the talent in this draft and team needs don't seem to mesh very well anyway IMO.

Plus it would be worth it for the lulz to have some Maker threads.

I posted this in another thread last night, so I apologize for repeating myself.

The guys covering the Combine on NBATV yesterday were absolutely drooling over Maker (for both his performance in the drills and his interviews). One of them even picked him as THE GUY who will go outside the lottery who will have everyone asking, "How was he not a lotto pick?" within a couple of years.

Long and the short of it, I think he's moving up the boards and we'll be lucky to have a shot at him at #18.

His value will greatly depend on how much upside teams view him as having. Being good against high schoolers doesn't exactly illicit a ton of confidence.

His physical tools certainly have promise. But, so did Hasheem Thabeet.

I think he's worth a look at 18. He has a lot to improve on, but he has a lot of upside
