Trade 1 -- Pelicans --- Baynes, Meeks for Asik, Tyreke, Ennis
- Pelicans save over 30M
Baynes is gone after next season. Should the Pistons be proactive and try to get some value for him?
Baynes last season - 15 min/game - 6 pts, 5 rebounds, 50% FG, 76% FT
Asik last season - 17 min/game - 4 pts, 6 rebounds, 53% FG, 53% FT
Asik is signed at 9M for the next four seasons
We also get Tyreke Evans who would be a gigantic improvement to our bench

Trade 2 ---- Nuggets ---- Dinwiddie for Jameer Nelson
- Denver saves money and gets a young PG in Dinwiddie and we get our back up PG who is also familiar with SVG's system
Trade 3 --- Lakers/Miami - Bass/McRoberts
Lakers get a young SF and save some $
==================================================================
Resign KCP, Drummond
13 man roster:
Reggie / Jameer Nelson
KCP / Tyreke - Hilliard
Tobias / Stanley - Ennis
Mook / Bass or McRoberts - #18
Drummond / Asik

Tyreke is damaged good and Asik is garbage

Those deals may make us better for a season, but long term we get saddled with some questionable contracts. And Tyreke is unrestricted in a year. I'd pass, but props on a deal with reasonable value for the other side.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

McRoberts might be a nice option for our backup PF. He had some decent minutes in the playoffs. Still 2 more years left on his contract but it's not expensive. I wonder who's out there similar for our backup PG spot?

Do you not get that any trade we make we fleece the other team? Unless we're obviously winning the trade, it's not happening. This is how good our FO has been.
