A late surge in votes for Bender put him comfortably above Murray to win the #3 spot on Detroit's big board. The next few are probably going to be pretty close. There aren't many real clean fits for what the Pistons need in this range so it will be interesting to see which players people just like more.

I went with Dunn here. Backup point guard is the biggest need on the team and Kris is in the conversation for best player available regardless. He and Jackson both have the size to switch in the backcourt defensively so that pairing would conceivably work as well.

I see Jamal Murray getting lots of love. It makes sense to me, because he sounds like a scoring combo guard who could back up the point and play alongside Jackson. But I want an absolute sniper, someone who can fill it up from anywhere, anytime, and for me, that man is Buddy Hield. I get he's one dimensional, but look at that dimension. He would step onto the court and be the best shooter on the team. Buddy Hield is getting my vote until the rest of you get on board.

Murray as a Freshman = 20.0ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.2apg, 1.0spg, 45.5%, 40.8% (3), 78.3% (FT)
Hield as a Junior = 17.4ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.9apg, 1.3spg, 41.2%, 35.9% (3), 82.3% (FT)

Hield scares me. A college season isn't very long. A hot shooting stretch for a quarter of an NBA season (25-30 games in college?) usually means very little, especially when that player shot between 38.8% - 44.5% (23.8% - 38.6% from 3) every other game (his other 3 college seasons). He'll either be a more athletic version of '13-'14 Jodie Meeks, or a more athletic Jodie Meeks of every other year in his NBA career. At least Murray has potential to play PG, or at least contribute 3-5 assists from the 2 at his peak... and he hasn't come close to reaching his scoring potential yet.
