The team is bad, their only big is Horford, Tatum is a complete disaster in their 1st game, they shouldn`t have lost Bradley and Crowder as well, they`re both very good players. They will be good in a few years tho

I think Brown and Tatum both have more upside than anyone on our team, but they are still both real young so its hard to say how much of a positive they will be on the W/L column this year. I think it could be a blessing in disguise as far as helping their development this year because they are both going to get more looks now... as long as Hayward comes back 100% next year they should/could be the best team in the East next season.

We really don't know that and thats one thing i hate about SVG, Tatum and Brown both play, Brown made a lot of mistakes and so did Tatum but they stayed in the game. Hopefully SVG does this with SJ and possibly Ellenson but they only have more upside bc they both actually play meaningful minutes

Did Hayward's look worse than Paul George's?

Haven't seen it yet

Can't be worse than footage I've seen of NRL players getting broken legs.

Saw PG13s too and no drama. I'll find it and watch it

Paul George's injury was only the bone, both tibia and fibula. Hayward's injury was around the anke. Bones broken and likely along with torn tendons.

Seriously, I was sick to my stomach watching it live. I have no problems watching any kind of injury or gorey type things, but the timing of this injury combined with the severity as well as my appreciation for Gordon Hayward all made this one of the most excruciating injuries I've ever watched. This was just an absolutely deflating moment for the league as a whole.

First game to boot as well...

I honestly felt really bad for Hayward. Some evil folks were trolling that it was karma for "abandoning" Utah but gtfo with that noise.

Good start to the season for Cleveland. Hayward and Lin lost for the season - Hayward for play-off seeding and Boston Rivalry, and Lin given they own the BKLN unprotected first rounder.

Personally think the Nets losing Lin is a good thing.

DLo, Crabbe, RHJ, LeVert all better off without Lin around to control things

Lin is what he is - those 4 could become anything

The nets weren't winning much with lin and they'll probably be winning even less without him. The young guys will get more touches. That should be good for their development, but it generally isn't a formula for team success.

Yeah, and Lord knows they need some good luck....

Its only been 3 straight Finals appearances for them.

They haven't won a ring since 2016.

And they haven't gotten a #1 overall draft pick since 2014 (which was actually their 3rd #1 in 4 years.)

So yeah, they're way overdue for another ring + #1 pick.

People around here are so quick to talk about Preseason games. You'd think they'd have learned with Austin Daye. Mitchell would've been a fine pick and I would not have even been mad if he had the same stat lines with us because it is a transition, but he is looking like ass thus far in the regular season and not one person has mentioned it that I've seen. Don't drink the Kool-aid kids.

Big adjustment from having the neon green light to playing a specific role in real games.

He's had moments where he's shown pre-season form too

We'll see if Hood's injury makes any difference to his role.

Didn't Phoenix get waxed by 40 in both games? No wonder he wants out.
