According to Stein the Suns are trying to unload either Bledsoe or Knight. Knight fits the profile we are looking for a PG that can play the 2 with a nice jump shot. I would be interested, but we don't have much to offer though

Makes too much money for what we'd want to use him for as well.

Not if he he is a 6 man and plays close to 30 min a game. But I just don't want him and don't thing he would work here.

He will be making 12 M next season. That's about what backup PG like Delly or Lin will get this offseason.
Everyone that has worked with him in Detroit has raved about his professionalism and work ethic. So he'll probable get along well with SVG

We would get another ball handler, that can create off the dribble. That will be an important step forward for the Pistons in relation to last season. He can come off the bench and lead the second unit and shoots well enough to play next ito Reggie and space the floor. Imo he ticks a lot of the boxes of what we are looking for.

I say absolutely bring Knight back if feasible. He would be amazing off the bench, good shooter, good defender, could play next to Jackson. I don't see how we could realistically do any better.

As long as the suns aren't asking for a kings ransom I'd take knight back. He'd be almost perfect of the bench as our 6th man. Hell Delly and Lin are probably going to get more to be back ups lol

12 mil isn't that much with the cap rising. If SVG can fleece them like he did to get Morris, I'm all for it.

I guess its tough for me for a couple of reasons. Number one I see very little guarantee he fits with Reggie (and he'd have to play with him for it to be worth the money). Number two, Knight just wasn't very good with us, and that will color my view of him.

I wanted to draft Knight. I wasn't crazy keen on the trade that brought Jennings here (especially in hindsight with the player that Middleton turned out to be). I do want to bring him back.
My first thought was to try to get Rubio out of Minnesota, but this team could use perimeter shooting just as badly as it could use better ball movement. I'd go for either, hard.

Any time you can trade with the Suns, you do it.
I'd give this year's No.1 and our 2018 - it will be worth even less than this year's. Plus whatever young players they want (Hilliard, Bullock, the white guy from the Bulls, etc.)
Again, another talented piece. I'm not sure the Suns would do it because of the 'Egg on the face' factor (didn't they give up a top five pick for Knight?)
And before you hammer away at me for giving up picks, Knight averaged 20 a game last year. The past FIVE players picked at No.18 totaled 20 a game last year.

Rubio Is a Thibs kind a player. I doubt Thibs is willing to trade a very good defensive pg even if a poor shooter. Unless they manage to move up and draft Dunn

The Suns do not want more picks. They already have like half of the first round picks for this draft.

We only have our 1st, Meeks, and scrubs to trade without dipping into our core. I'd be willing to trade our 1st and Meeks but not much else. I wonder what that package gets us elsewhere?

It's the ultimate sales job for a crappy team to a fanbase - "Look at all the picks we have!"
