Does he even make the roster? Let's get the discussion going on him here. Pros, cons, whatever.

I know nothing about him but he's 24. Maybe Stan wanted a more experienced player here.

If you ask me, he'll end up taking hillards and bullocks spots. He played some point at cuse too so his ball handling is on point. He was one the leading scorers during the combine scrimmages

I have pretty big doubts about this pick. Just get s a quick look at making the team and that's it. Would've preferred to take a chance on Tim Quaterman.

Fun fact - Gbinije is older than Andre Drummond, Tobias Harris, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Stanley Johnson, and Darrun Hilliard.

I don't see where his roster spot on the wing comes from unless Meeks is traded. That's possible, but far from certain. Here's a rough current depth chart:

PG: Jackson - Brown
SG: Caldwell-Pope - Meeks - Hilliard - Gbinije
SF: Morris - Johnson - Bullock
PF: Harris - Ellenson - Bairstow
C: Drummond - Baynes - Anthony

I was hoping to drafted Gary Payton II. Yogi Ferrell at PG or Prince Ibeh at C,Jared Uthoff at SF, Kyle Wiltjer at PF were other names I was into.
I'll be surprised if Gbinije makes the roster, but I'm saying this before doing any research. I heard his name for the first time as it was announced as our pick.

MFer has some nice range and athleticism. If he played PG should have some handles and passing ability too. Idk if he will make the team, but everything I think he has is what you want from a SF

I was hoping for a pg, but he seems ok. He may not have a high ceiling, but he's got good range and athleticism. Him, Hilliard and bullock all seem the same to me haha

I actually like the pick.

Wanted a PG but liked his video tape atleast.

Top undrafted PG have to be looking to come here.

Stan has seemed to show a preference for 4-year leaders with his 2nd round picks. His thinking seems to be that any potential players in the 2nd are too far away to ever compete on the rookie contract and after that they are just as likely to go to another team. It's a good philosophy, I just had a Felder itch that needed scratching this time around.

he's apparently a point forward that over the course of his college career was forced to change positions and become versatile and did it. I am warming up to this pick

"Gbinije is another point forward who would've gone in the first round if he were three years younger. I think he can help a team right away." -- ESPN

Sorry don't have the link, but I can see it. I'm excited for SL for sure

Gbinije and Ellenson are going to score at will in the SL. It's NBA speed I'm a bit worried about, particularly for Henry. SJ scored pretty easily in the SL, too, and we've seen what a tough transition it's been for him.

I think that'll benefit him in the long run, but he's not a natural pg.
I'm afraid of over paying a mediocre back up point, that's why I was hoping to get one in the draft. Doesn't matter though. I'm sure svg has a plan.
