it might not seem like it now, but wait till summer league and the season start. Gbinije should be the backup pg. He's the perfect compliment/offset to rj.

Does he play defense? YES
Does he have experience running the pg position? yeah he basically ran pg the whole season for us and cooney was more of the sg
Does he make the right pass when its there? yes
Can he create offense for himself? yes
Can he shoot? yes

plus we will have him on a rookie deal. That way, we focus the majority of the $ to get horford or whoever they go about pursuing. He was on duke and transferred to syracuse. He's played in the big east and acc. Hes nba ready.

That's a very important role we need to fill and I'm not comfortable handing it over to the 49th pick right now. Maybe in time but we are a playoff team and not rebuilding.

Just because he played pg in college doesn't mean he's ready to do that in the Nba. I wouldn't bet on him playing pg.

I like the pick - give him his rookie minimum and send him to Grand Rapids for much of the year. That's his best chance to become a legit NBA player.

He dropped to 49 cos he's 24 years old, otherwise a 1st rounder. Love both of our picks!

Could definitely be a steal. He's ready to play, I'm not sure he'll handle NBA minutes at PG, but between Gbinije, Hillard, and Bullock.. Someone will replace Meeks effectively next year.

Gbinije can do a little bit of everything, and his strength may be defense. :D Remember young Afflalo? Less of a scorer, more of a passer, could be a hidden gem. Probably not though.

SVG seems to really want to see what he can do in summer league at PG. So I guess we will get our first look there at him as a PG and see where he's at.

That would be amazing! Dinwiddie 2.0, 1.0 almost worked? lol

I like him more for his ability to shoot off-ball and play with Reggie at SG/SF, but if he can be his backup too even better. He basically provides what I wanted from Valentine in a poor mans version, but with better athleticism/defense.

The way I see it, we've now got 5 young SG/SF prospects (SJ/KCP/Bullock/Hilliard/Gbinijie) and the cream will rise to the top.

Of the 5 only 2 aren't really capable of being used exclusively at other positions.

Im 95% certain all of you will be gbinije fans after summerleague. The thing about ellenson and gbinije is they are both big east/acc certified. Teams like Marquette and syracuse, they play better competition during the season than in the tournament. Gbinije coming from a league where he had to play unc, duke, nc state, virginia, Louisville, miami, pitt etc. Even ellenson was playing in the newly constructed big east which has some real teams in it. Both of these guys are ready to ball out.

Atm, 4 of our summerleague starters are confirmed. Pg. Gbinije sg. Hilliard sf. S johnson pf/c ellenson. We should be one of the top teams in sl

Heres something to keep in mind too fellas. Drummond lost us at least 10-13 games off his bad ft shooting and we still made the playoffs and won over half our reg season games. Roster improvements + dre being able to hit freethrows and stay on the floor= #2 #3 in the east.

I really like this guy, Stan see's him as a point guard so we basically replaced a tall pg who isn't athletic and cant shoot in
Dinwiddie with another tall pg who can shoot and is more athletic in Gbinije. I really like the range on his jumper, at worst we end up with an upgraded 3rd string pg and at best a guy who can give us minutes at pg,sg and sf with a nice jumper and athleticism.

Yeah if he really works out as a 6'7 PG I'm going to be pretty excited.

I see him much the same way. And not much poorer, either. Age was the main thing holding him back, and I don't care about that.

Not sure what you're trying to say. Harris has been one of Denver's better players.

Part of the reason i became a pistons fan after being a nuggets fan for 11 years is due to the fact that they even drafted gary harris. Its simple: teams with undersized sg never prosper. The last year i was a nuggets fan, my shooting guards were randy foye and gary harris. Im not watching 82 games of foye chuck ball.

And when you say hes one of denvers better players, is that supposed to be a good thing lol? Remember how affalo was bullying kcp who is the same height but weighs less than afflalo, imagine what would happen if afflalo had a guy 2-3 inches shorter and weighs less than kcp on him. Bbq chicken
