Beautiful, pretty much perfect. Wonder what the protections are.

Never doubt Bower. Basically traded Ilyasova, Jennings, Meeks for Harris and second round pick. Meeks only played 3 games for us. Bower is the man!

For what it's worth Shams doesn't mention anything about it being a conditional 2nd round pick.

We recovered our pick from the Morris salary dump, we just get it a year earlier.

Nice. The first article said it was conditional. Nice to recover a pick for a player we don't need/want.

Great deal. Surprised we didn't have to give up more or take on another contract. Was worried at first that we traded for CJ Watson. Good luck to Meeks going forward. Hopefully he stays healthy next year. Unfortunately he just had some bad luck here with injuries. Always liked his game though.

The extra cap space indicates Detroit has some free agents in mind. Can't wait for July 1st.

If we let go of Joel Anthony that should add 2 more mill to our cap space

I liked Meeks but he could never stay healthy, very happy that Stan was not only able to get rid of his contract to go after the free agents in a few days but also gets a 2nd round pick out of it. Now lets how Stan does some great things with that capspace.

According to my sheet the Pistons now have about $14.8 million in cap space. But that's with everything still included like the cap holds for Tolliver and Blake as well as the unguaranteed contracts of Anthony, Brown, and Bairstow. Remove all of them and it brings to total up to just over $26 million. If they do all that at once I think some roster holds take place but only a couple which would probably come out to less than a million. Gbinije can be signed after they're done with everything in free agency.

Stan Van Gundy just keeps kicking ass and taking names when dealing with other general managers around the league. It's almost like he has the Midas touch. One has to wonder when will that actually wear off?

Maybe he still knows about some skeletons buried in Orlando :D

Is it official yet? Sounds too good to be true. But then you could say that for virtually all of Van Bower's deals.
