Absolutely not. It wouldn't cost nearly that much anyways. More like Joel Anthony's unguaranteed contract.

I'd swap one second round pick for Burke, which is about his going rate these days.
Even then, I don't know if I want Burke to lead the second unit.

I doubt it would take that much to get Burke.

I wrote this in the PG thread earlier:
Eh. Burke lost his spot in the rotation for the most part after Utah traded for Shelvin Mack. He and Raul Neto took over at point guard on a team fighting to make the playoffs in the Western conference. And from an efficiency standpoint this was Burke's best year by a good margin. None of that is particularly inspiring.
Expecting him to do better with Van Gundy is probably a safe assumption given point guards usually flourish under him, but it still might be a stretch to think he would be good enough for a serviceable backup. On the other hand it's not like the guys after Lin, Dellavedova, Williams, etc. are a whole lot better so the Pistons still might have interesting if their spending focus is at power forward in free agency.
If the Pistons are going after a backup point guard with the Jazz I would 100% rather it be Mack. He might be attainable too with Hill added and Exum coming back from injury.

the things that concerns me is his size and defense, i think he would be a better option for us than delly if we sign Horford out right.

Cameron Baristow to Utah for Trey Burke. Jazz don't have to eat Burkes contract, they just cut Cameron. Pistons get a 23 year old PG on a rookie deal who can maybe turn his career around under Van Gundy.
They even ask for one 2nd round pick coming their way and the deal is off.

Hell no, I'd have probably relied on Dinwiddie than trade anything if monetary value for Burke.

If Trey Burke played for Ohio State no one on here would care one bit about him.

I'd to Bullock for Burke straight up, but not including any second rounders - we already are down two in the coming years sent in Jackson deal and Mook deal. The pick coming back for Meeks is conditional, meaning 55 or worst one year or never conveyed. I'd do it because we need a cheap PG and this would be contract for contract meaning we have 22M+ and only need a PF.
But I'd rather trade Bullock for a better PG in a straight up deal.

hell to the naw on trading 2 picks...maybe just a straight salary dump and 1 pick (2nd round)

I know Burke failed as a starter but is he even a good backup? I haven't really watched him.

We have a winner! Bullock ALONE should be more than enough to get Burke, no way would I include 2 seconds.

I'm a wolverine and loved what Trey did for my team, but he hasn't seemed to make much of an impact in the pros. He is certainly not playing well enough to warrant giving up assets for, and it seems he would be more of a third pg option for us. Since we just drafted one, I think we can just pass on him for now. The big question is who is going to be our backup pg?

Why not just Meeks for Burke (plus whatever trade ballast is needed on Minny's side?
