Well, guess we aren't getting Horford. Ish Smith was actually a good player last season wasn't he?

My guess would be 8-10 mill per season, so we probably have about 10 million left for a PF

Cool

Hoping 8 mill or less. 10 mill wouldn't surprise me tho. I think backup PG was biggest need. Now on to a PF/C

One of the fastest guys in the league with the ball in his hands. The financial numbers will determine how good of a signing this is, but I like his talent.

Clarkson got 4/50mill. That seems fair maybe under pay with the other contracts going out. Maybe we got Smith for a really good deal

Pretty strange this hasn't been reported by anyone beside our beat write yet. Made me think it was a fake initially. Hopefully Woj comes in with the price soon

I was thinking that seems extremely cheap. How is he getting less than Mosgov

So SVG isn't even going to go after Horford?

Per Rotoworld, he averaged 14/4/7 for PHI last year. The jump from Blake to Ish at back up PG is significant, and he's still only 28 (or will be in a few days), so he fits our timeline. Naturally, the money will determine a lot of how I feel about this, but from a purely hoops standpoint I think this is a really solid get for us.

Could be worse. Brings something different to the table for us. Speed, drive and kick and transition offense. How well that will fit with our bench unit remains to be seen. SJ and Bullock are guys that can run the floor, maybe Henry also. If we tweak the rotation bit and give Harris more minutes with the bench we could really push the tempo. On the other side, who can he guard? That will be a challenge...
Holding my breath on much money he will be getting. I hope I dont puke in my mouth

If we're out on Horford, we were likely told so by his management team. It's not that shocking, and it's OK.

Ish Smith over Steve Blake is going to make us way better than last year though. Hopefully we can get another impact FA and we will be very deep.

Hopefully it's a cheap deal. It's not a very exciting signing. Could have been worse, but still..

Here's hoping for 3/30 or less... but it's hard to be sure.

His percentages are disappointing. 41% FG, 33% 3FG, and 69% FT...

Ish isn't really a shooter, no... but he's a speed demon, pretty good passer. Change of pace PG.

I don't love the guy, or even like him particularly, but he's solid. He turned around Philly's season (from all-time-awful to just really bad).
