So far this offseason, the Pistons have made great improvement to their bench, through the Draft and Free Agency. However as Free Agnecy begins to settle down, trading might be the team's best option to create a champion contender.
1. Utah receives Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Reggie Bullock and a 2017 First Round Pick, Detroit receives Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood.
2. Sacramento receives a Reggie Bullock and a 2019 Second Round Pick, Detroit receives Ben McLemore.
3. Brooklyn receives Darrun Hillard and a 2019 Second Round Pick, Detroit receives Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
4. Philadelphia receives Reggie Bullock, Darrun Hillard and a 2017 First Round Pick, Detroit receives Nik Stauskas and Joel Embid.
5. Denver receives Aron Baynes and a 2019 Second Round Pick, Detroit receives Gary Harris.

Re: Trade Scenarios
Scenario 1 can't happen. Detroit is already over the cap and the salaries don't come close to matching up. Utah would never, ever consider doing that anyways.
Scenario 2 doesn't interest me. McLemore currently isn't better than Bullock and both will be restricted free agents next summer.
Scenario 3 is like the second part I wrote about Scenario 1. That's awful for the Nets.
Scenario 4 is probably the closest overall in terms of value. No reason for the Pistons to do it though. Stauskas is bad and Embiid can only play center. Detroit is downgrading in quality and depth on the wing while getting back a guy who would be fighting for minutes with Boban, and neither can be on the court at the same time.
Scenario 5 doesn't make a whole lot of sense for Denver. They have a glut of shooting guards but they're also more than set at center. Jokic, Nurkic, and Lauvergne is a really nice, young group.
So I have to go with none. Welcome to the boards though!

1. Utah receives Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Reggie Bullock and a 2017 First Round Pick, Detroit receives Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood.
This one got my vote, but I just changed my mind because KCP is going to be better than Hayward in a couple of years.
2. Sacramento receives a Reggie Bullock and a 2019 Second Round Pick, Detroit receives Ben McLemore.
McLemore isn't that good. The only reason we talk about him is because he was drafted high.
3. Brooklyn receives Darrun Hillard and a 2019 Second Round Pick, Detroit receives Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
This one sounds good.
4. Philadelphia receives Reggie Bullock, Darrun Hillard and a 2017 First Round Pick, Detroit receives Nik Stauskas and Joel Embid.
This sounds great and should have gotten my vote.
5. Denver receives Aron Baynes and a 2019 Second Round Pick, Detroit receives Gary Harris.
I would do this one too. We should do this AND #4 at the same time - they compliment each other.

Re: Trade Scenarios
These are all really bad value for the other teams and would probably gladly do all of them. Number 3 is a huge rip off for the Nets

Not to kill the spirits of the new poster, but these are all really bad deals for the other teams.

1 - Utah laugh you off the phone! They've been building for a while and look ready to break through
2 - No! McLemore would never be mentioned if he was drafted #20.
3. Brooklyn laugh you off the phone! RHJ is worth more than that.
4 - Philly want to trade Okafor or Noel for a quality guard. Anything else is wasting their time.
5 - Denver have a logjam at C/F and have no need for Baynes

I thought the same thing. They're all horrible for the other team. The only one I could see us saying no to would be the first one because it would leave us with 5 SF, but there's no way in hell Utah does it in the first place.

Yeah my apologies to the OP if he took offense to that. Just need to think of the other team a little bit when coming up with trade scenarios.

I chose between 5 and none and settled on none. I'd really like to see the current roster give it a go for 25 games or so, and see what holes need filling then.

Re: Trade Scenarios
As I read this I thought to myself "hey a trade thread that isn't filled with bad trades for us" and then I realized they are rip offs for the other team lol
I actually like all of them for us, but Hayward is expiring and as someone else mentioned it doesn't work salary wise. If i had to pick one scenario I would choose 4, because of great I believe Embiid can be.

Re: Trade Scenarios
Scenario 6: GSW receives Ish Smith, Bullock, Hilliard and 2 second rounds (maybe too much), Detroit receives Curry, Thompson, Durant and Green.
