Unfortunately in a game like that he's going to be a huge target for embarrassing things like that.

Good. This means he was contesting shots at the rim. I have never understood this "posterization" thing. It means someone was trying while the rest of the lazy bitches stood around not playing defense.

I agree 90% although I notice that Dre often goes for a half block attempt, like when a kid flinches when a ball is thrown at him. It's like he fades to the side a little bit and the difference between a sick block and a sick poster is just a little bit usually. He's always done that for some reason. Glad to see he's going for it though. I love Dre as much as anyone but one of my few complaints is that he is often indecisive when deciding to either go for a block or stay down for a rebound.

Yeah, I mean it's gonna happen, it happens to every single person and the offensive player always has the advantage. That being said, I thought he had poor technique on the first one, maybe it was like Detroit Pistons said he was indecisive about whether he should go for it or not. I'd rather see him sell out and go hard, either you get the block or the dude ends up on his back at the 3pt line. 2-3 of thosr type of fouls per game are acceptable, even preferable. That adds to the intimidation factor of a true rim protector.

The second one the dude attacked hard and exploded to hoop, was very athletic. Props to him.

Idk but I'm curious to see what he is doing about that. Based on the little bit we have heard it seems like he isn't doing the underhand thing, which is disappointing. I really wanted him to try that. It's honestly not that embarrassing. Dropping 25ppg on your competition every night because you are hitting 5-8 more FTs per game is a lot more embarrassing... for the competition.

Is this thing recreational or are guys trying to improve their games? It seems there would be better ways to do that.

This is basically a glorified pick up game. Similar to the Seattle Pro-Ams or Bay Area Pro-Ams.

Okay, but that can also be described as contesting and staying in the play. He has learned to avoid foul trouble much better than he used to do. He doesn't "sell out" on blocks very often. He has more to learn.

As to the Drew, it doesn't mean a thing (provided no one gets hurt.) He isn't going to go at those guys like it was a real game. Dre's comments after the game seemed pretty light-hearted. It's just a workout.
