Pretty cool videos showing him and all the team, including Gores, training and hanging out

really cool to see though, i guess this is the team's training camp? it looks like the only person missing besides baynes and gbinije who are in rio is tobias harris.

Clearly not happening but... would you trade that package for Melo? I would need to think about it. Melo as PF pairing with Dre could be the ultimate matchup nightmare. He could go iso every time without getting double teams because he's effective even with tough shots and you CAN'T let the paint alone because the miss shot is going to be a instant Dre bucket...

Most owners from all walks of business life believe in team building experiences. Plus, Gores has like a billion dollars vested. He can do whatever the fyck he wants with his business. They all look like they are having fun with Gores.

Amen!
If any of us owned a team we'd hang around practices and have events where we invite the players...go to every game we could...spend time with the FO...and especially with VanBower
Anyone that says otherwise is FOS

Wrong. Go to games and sit courtside sure - but trying to be buddies with players is lame. It's like management trying to be buddies with the front line workers. You need to know your role and let the players have their space, they're the team. And it could force Gores to make mistakes like giving KCP a max level contract. It's all reasonably new to Gores, so maybe he's still living out his fanboy dream and thinks he's "one of the guys", Cuban was like that at the beginning too. I guess I'd like a happy medium, not Gores, but not the pure aloof, it's 100% business owners either. I think Cuban is in sweet spot now - but he grew into it, maybe Gores will as well.

I seriously doubt if you were the Pistons owner, you would stay far away from the team after investing your life savings into the business. Especially, if you are also a huge fan of the game. It is absolutely nonsense to think otherwise.
