Steve Blake Still Hoping To Play While Bracing For Possible End Of Career

Steve Blake is without a contract for the first time in his 13 NBA seasons at the age of 36.

Blake was hopeful of receiving a call from the Houston Rockets when Mike D'Antoni was hired but instead signed Pablo Prigioni to a two-year deal.

When Mo Williams retired, Blake hoped the Cleveland Cavaliers would be interested but they instead have targeted Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers...

I feel bad for him but honestly his game just isn't good for how the nba is played today. He is too slow, a terrible defender and too inconsistent with his offense.

Steve Blake take yo L and retire. I'm not even sure if he's CBA worthy.

Blake has had a fine career. He's a good guy and a good teammate, but father time gets us all. 36 is a pretty good run for a guard.
