Talked to Reggie Jackson briefly this morning. In his mind, he will be on the floor getting ready 4 weeks from procedure date. #Pistons

Also;

Reggie Jackson was expected to be shelved for six-to-eight weeks after receiving platelet-rich plasma treatment to relieve tendinitis in his left knee, but the Detroit Pistons point guard is hoping to return ahead of schedule.

Jackson told Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press Saturday that he intends to be back and practicing four weeks from the date of the procedure, which he underwent just under two weeks ago.

Jackson would need time to work his way back into game shape, but if he indeed returns to the court when he says he will, he has a decent chance of beating his projected timetable.

Not sure where to post this, but the Pistons marketing campaign for this year features narration from Chauncey & Ben :)

Ben Wallace could seriously make some cash doing voice over work. James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, Ben Wallace.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I still expect him to be out 6-8 weeks. In 2 weeks maybe he will begin some light court work but I'm sure that has been the plan all along. If he doesn't have any significant pain when he comes back then it'll be 6 weeks otherwise it'll take longer.

This is part of the rehab process. Jackson was expected to come back to practice sooner than his timetable. The timetable for a "return" is on the real court during the game. Players need to practice to get in game shape before entering the game. They gave him a buffer of 2 weeks but expected him to return in 6. That means 4 weeks out from the procedure and 2 weeks out from practicing and getting in shape. The 2 weeks is just in case something delays his return and patients don't ***** so it seems like you're going back "ahead of schedule" when in reality it's automatically extended in case something delays the recovery.

Yeah, he's going to have to shake off some rust for actual in-game speed and stamina, which we know his stamina already isn't great to start with.

I can see him coming off the bench a bit.

The sooner he comes back the sooner it flares up and he misses more time. I would rather him play the last 40 games instead of the 1st 40 games.
