Predict the first six games.

Looks like a little bit of an easier schedule to start which might help with RJ out for a few weeks. Predict the first six games.

Oct 26: @ Toronto
Oct 28: vs Orlando
Oct 30: vs Milwaukee
Nov 1: vs New York
Nov 2: @ Brooklyn
Nov 5: vs Denver

4 Home games, 2 away games with just one back to back game. Even without our leading scorer and starting PG I think 3-3 is a very reasonable start to the season and 4-2 should probably be within reach as well. With Reggie this probably could have been a 5-1 start to the season.

Honestly I could see us getting 5-1 out of that

LWWWWL

I hate how we crapped the bed in Denver last year.

Hopeful for 5-1 or 4-2 obviously, but I think we'll lose to Toronto & Denver and one of Orlando/Milwaukee/Knicks will trip us up to go 3-3.

5-1 is a reasonable goal given the schedule, and will provide a nice cushion before starting the west coast trip. May sound crazy, but outside of the first game, that Nets game strikes me as a possible loss. Back to backs on the road are never easy, and the Nets could prove a tougher win than normal given those circumstances.

Definitely a schedule-friendly start. As tight as the eastern conference is likely to be, the Pistons really need to be 4-2 coming out of these 6, regardless of RJ's absence - we shouldn't be in a position to need his 'hero ball' in 5 out of the 6 games. 3-3 would be a disappointment. Any worse would be a problem.

Hadn't really looked at our schedule yet. Nice to have some winnable games early while Reggie is still out. I'll go with 4-2

4-2. We're gonna miss RJ on opening night on the road against a solid backcourt. I also expect us to drop at least 1 more (maybe 2) and I figure NY is as good a guess as any. Rose is looking semi-decent so far, Melo usually gets up for games against us and if Porzingis is dialed in we're gonna have trouble covering him on the perimeter.

5-1 is possible, but we'll probably be 3-3 with the new pieces and lacking RJ in the line-up.

Don't underestimate not having Reggie for these games. I could easily see a very rough start. 2-4 even 1-5.

Of course the team could also go 6-0. This is a very volatile time for the team. im calling for 48 wins this year with Reggie gone. I would otherwise have said 53. Even if the team plays well in his absence, there will be a readjustment period when he gets back.

48-53 wins this year. Everything fine? 53-59 wins. Lowered expectations.

I can live with a 3-3, I'll be really happy with a 4-2.

2-4

Guys we have a new starting back up pg who is actually the backup pg to the backup, a new starting pg and PF who plays 2 positions. On top of that SVG's trying to juggle his rotations to find the most consistent groups, and we don't have RJ who literally was our offense last year. Our backup SG's look lost and we are going to go through several adjustment periods. I think we end up 2-4 with wins against Orl and Mil, but then let melo or jennings go off on us, Brklyn outplay us, and Jokic ,Harris and Gallo torch us.

Go ahead, thaw that crow out. I'll happily eat it

Well, after seeing how the offense functioned in that Toronto game, there's certainly cause for concern.

The Pistons full strength could go 5-1 in that stretch. As is I'd be happy with 3, and absolutely thrilled with 4.

I think we will look much better against these next 5 teams.

We know the offense will be a little rough without RJ. The concerning thing is our team defense and getting crushed on the boards. We need more than just Dre hitting the glass and we gotta do something about protecting the paint.
