Anthony Davis is going to want out this year...

The Pelicans are shaping up to be the worst team in the West this season... I think its safe to say that Anthony Davis could be on the move if the Pelicans can get enough good young pieces to try a quick rebuild with. I'm sure his frustration is mounting.

Detroit is one of maybe 4 or 5 teams that could realistically put an offer together that is good enough to get Davis IMO. Obviously the package would have to include Drummond as the centerpiece going back to New Orleans.

There's nothing this team can offer to get Davis.

He's not going anywhere. He could say "I want out" but that's not happening. What are teams going to give for Davis? You need two stars to match him, he's that good. He's basically a superstar in the making if not already. If a team has at least 2-3 legit starters on a team, Davis makes that team amazing. He's just got the worst organization out there. They're garbage

Drummond, SJ, KCP, and a boatload of picks? If there is a sliver of a chance I think everyone should be offered IMO.

I'd like to keep RJ & Tobias I guess but nobody on our roster is really untouchable in this day and age.

All hypothetically speaking of course.

You'd have to think that he will demand a trade if the Pelicans remain one of the 2 or 3 worst teams in the West yet again. He's averaging 32 PPG, 12 RPG, 3 BPG, and 2.5 SPG and his team is 0-5 he's playing with Tim Frazier, E'Twaun Moore, Buddy Hield, and Lance Stephenson... most people probably don't know any of those guys besides Lance who barely made the team.

Boston should be locks to get him IF he wants out this season!

2 Brooklyn picks, Memphis pick, numerous glue pieces and prospects

Boston has been a lock to get everybody in every trade for 3 years but hasn't gotten anybody of significance. At some point that thinking needs to die a painful death.

Dre, Stanley, KCP, 3 future firsts for AD might be enough. Dre would be one of the few young bigs they could replace him with and would give them a new face of the franchise.

If SVG/Bower could trick NOLA to trade us Davis for Drummond they should be inducted into the hall of fame.

I believe the issue has always been that 2nd Brooklyn pick

Ainge hasn't been presented with a legit franchise player so he's not gonna include both...

Anthony Davis is that franchise player!

Cousins ain't, neither is Butler.

Davis, Horford, Crowder, Bradley, IT

That's gold!

Pelicans can get Jaylen, 2 Brooklyn picks, Amir & Jerebko...

Rebuild around Brown & picks.

He just started his new contract so not happening, even if he wanted out.

Pelicans fall to 0-6 after falling to the 1-4 Suns tonight... I just can't see Davis wanting to stay there long term when the players around him are really horrible right now. Even with a top 3 pick whoever they draft will likely be a year or two away from being a positive impact player.

And we've seen players in contracts before ask to be traded and get moved regardless of how many years are left on their contract.

If the Pelicans were smart they'd beat Davis to the punch.

The minute he goes public they lose a bit of an edge in trade negotiations

The Pelicans would go 0-82 if they made that trade.

Drummond just started his big contract and I would love to trade him for a real basketball player.

What does signing a new contract have to do with Davis then?

Pelicans would let him stew until the final year of his contract. He's going nowhere, and the Pistons couldn't put anywhere near the best offer together, unless they're giving them Drummond and Jackson.
