John Wall Trade Idea
With the wizards 1-5 right now, they may be tanking for a lottery pick...even if they hadn't planned on it. Only a matter of time before John Wall becomes unhappy and wants out.
As much as I miss Reggie playing right now, I could see a trade for John Wall benefiting both teams.
Wizards get Reggie and Stanley
Pistons get John Wall
Reggie is able to sit out and rest most of the season while the Wizards tank, Stanley gets the opportunity to play, grow and make mistakes with a young Wizards team coached by Brooks.
We get one of the most all around PG's in the league, who is averaging over 9 assists with a VERY shaky supporting cast right now.

He's not ideal, certainly, but for Reggie and SJ I strongly consider it.

Re: John Wall Trade Idea
I'd do it, it's not a "holy **** a superstar trade" but it's a trade that still complements Dre and our other players. Defensively, we'd get a significant boost, since Wall has been a low-key defender his whole career and his ability to run the offense is only second to CP3 in a lot of ways.
If it only costs SJ, then I think that's worth it. I don't see WAS doing it though.

Might not be ideal, but I think he's a lot better than people give him credit for. And I am taking into account him being highly overrated as a rookie, I think for the past year and a half he has he has natural point guard ability. Obviously it'd be better if he had a consistent 3pt shot but I still think what he brings as far as passing ability and defensively would almost be a perfect fit for this team

This. Reggie isn't a great fit next to Beal (while Wall is) and the Wizards aren't exactly hurting for a young forward on the wings with Porter and Oubre. Don't see much of a reason for Washington to do this trade even if draft picks are added.
It would be a big yes from me for Detroit though.

Probably not, but I honestly think they are on the verge of blowing it up. They have young pieces, and the coach who has experience properly tanking/developing talent. And while some are going back and forth with giving up on SJ, I think what he really needs is essentially to play on a team that isn't fighting for a playoff spot, where his mistakes aren't magnified and earn him a seat on the bench. He just doesn't have that luxury here with our crowded frontcourt
From their perspective next year they would end up with:
Reggie
Beal
Stanley
Markieff Morris
Otto Porter
Oubre
Lotto Pick

No, and I'll admit right now that it's only due to gut feel/illogical speculation. John Wall gives me the vibe that he's going to be one of those "career ended too soon" players. Make a strong move to get him and wind up thinking "F*******K!" a year later.

Re: John Wall Trade Idea
For Reggie straight up I'll do it. I would take the risk upon trying to improve his 3pt shot, because in everything else Wall is just simply better

largely because his game depends a lot on his athleticism and speed. Once he loses that, his skillset is average and the more concerning part is its been average since he's entered the league.

Beal and Wall don't even like each other tho.
Anyway I'd pass Wall has legit knee problems.

Re: John Wall Trade Idea
Honestly I'd rather trade for Beal. I wonder if he'll be our Tobias trade this year.
Not sure we have 22 mil in expirings though.

Re: John Wall Trade Idea
I'd definitely do this trade. I think it's great for everyone except for Reggie. Reggie found a great spot for himself here but it's not the end of the world since he'll still start in Washington. Stanley needs a better shot than what he's given in Detroit, his potential is a whole lot better than what he's shown. I'm actually expecting this trade to happen either around beginning of December or the trade deadline. If anything, it might be after the season ends. Only thing that'll take it away from us is if we're winning more with Reggie. Anything can happen.

Without hesitation. We would have to throw in Ellenson and probably a future #1 too but I'd still do it. Wall is a game changer on both ends, imagine having KCP not have to defend the tougher matchup every night, he could finally reach his potential.

Re: John Wall Trade Idea
Yes please. While I think Reggie was a great pickup by SVG and a solid PG for us the past couple years, I do think we've seen his best stuff. I don't really anticipate him getting much better, I think he has hit his ceiling, and unfortunately, I don't think this is enough to win it all.

Re: John Wall Trade Idea
He's a mental midget. Kills it early game, buckles at crunch time. Pierce and Beal are why they got some playoff wins. Am not denying his talent, but his head blows up in crunch time.
