Game 33: Cavaliers (23-6) @ Pistons (14-18) - 7:30 PM EST

Post#1 » by Jaisy » Mon Dec 26, 2016 10:58 am

I feel like either LeBron or Kyrie may rest this game, so our chances for finally stopping that streak of L's will grow up. James played 40 and Kyrie 44. Important game for our forwards, we need to finally figure out how to stop our domain killer, K-Love. I think that Stan will hold that starting 5 from last game. My fav player Tobias "All-business" is a legendary work ethic player, he can play as a starter and as a sixthman. Losing 6 in a row would be our longest streak since March 2015.

We have a decent chance of winning this game if we come out with the effort and energy most of the team did against GS.... its really all about bringing the energy. I doubt Lebron and Kyrie would both have a great effort against us after all the energy they spent last night.

Yeah, even if their guys were playing this at least had the potential to be a trap game for Cleveland, coming off a big win on a back to back for them.

Hopefully the streak ends today.

True. It could propel us to the 11th spot in the east.

We'll be in it. Wouldn't even be surprised if we had a double-digit lead early in the 4th. But then Cleveland will do what championship teams do and turn it up in the 4th. Our offense will sputter out against their late game pressure and we'll agonize over some bench scrub having a career night against us. We'll complain about how we got screwed by the refs, even though they attacked the paint all game while we settled for contested jumpers.

Or maybe Kyrie/LeBron just go ham. Either way it ends the same; another tick mark in the Loss column. We'll take some small solace in how hard we played, talk about how we can't expect to be on Clevelands level yet, but will still generate a half-dozen new trade threads about Wall & Cousins.

At some point in there we also reignite the fire SVG talk because clearly he hasn't done anything to improve the team since he's been here; Dre is soft, Reggie selfish, KCP can't shoot and neither can anybody else. We argue over what he could have done in some fanboys magical winter wonderland and then we all accuse each other of trolling because we didn't get the internet validation that we desperately need.

Meanwhile, Cow is gonna be relaxing and probably catching up on Banshee because **** all that other noise.

Pistons are desperate for a win and are at home which gives them a legit chance.

Lions are going to be playing in a huge game at the same time... plus we've been awful as of late... I wonder if that makes this Palace empty or if a lot of people possibly got tickets for Christmas and are going to see the game since it's Lebron... Hopefully the crowd is good.

LOL, what? You still have Irving and Love. Those two alone can probably hang 60 on us right now.

I'm sure the game sold out. A lot of people are going to be pissed when they show up and LeBron isn't playing. If they got a proper heads-up, a lot of people will probably opt to stay home and watch the Lions game.
