You could sit and do this with every draft, wish we would have took Giannis.

Idk how much pt he would get. We have KCP he's been playing like a top 5-10 ish SG this year. I still love SJ tho

Not even having a good year and he's a disgrace of a defender

Ya hindsights 20/20 i am just glad that Booker was at least a finalist. meaning our FO at least had right idea. i legitametly think we could have run Booker as a PG and KCP which would make me need to change my panties

That and KCP can run the offense in a pinch if need be, not full-time, but he's usually been good for a lob or two to Dre, which a lot of our own PGs don't seem to get.

Lol that's me. Captain obvious/hindsight. Don't worry. I won't bring up Darko hahaha.
For the record, I still like Stanley and think he'll figure it out and be a starter eventually

Maybe? MAYBE?!?!?

Of course we should have taken Devin Booker! He has an NBA skill.

Almost having the right idea, and having the right idea is the difference between having Devin Booker and having Stanley Johnson wasting a roster spot.

Almost being right is the difference between drafting a hall of famer like Dwyane Wade, or blowing it on Darko Milicic.

We should've taken Kawhi Leanord too

If I could time travel and take a gun with me our starting lineup would be...

Giannis
PG13
Kawhi
Turner
Dre

I actually like Turner as a prospect more than Booker.

Imagine how hard it'd be to guard us with that lineup, lol!

SJ just is more raw than everyone thought, doesn't mean he's still not going to be a great player. and defensively SJ seems to be showing what he did last year and his versatility still brings a lot of value to rotations.

Point is Booker should have been the pick, but not like SJ was a bad pick either

Lmao aaaand we have a darko reference.

Yeah, not gonna get into it in this thread. I still love stanimal's defensive potential, KCP's entrenchment as the starting SG, and even bullock's potential as the catch and shoot guy we so desperately need, assuming he can stay healthy.

We should have taken Carmelo Anthony!!

As a huge Stanley Johnson fan, I will say Booker can flat score. He's got range, touch, no conscience, and an array of shots/releases. That being said, I still believe Stanley Johnson will emerge. He's going through his deconstruction so that he can be built up. His toughness, size, strength, drive, work ethic, and competitiveness will not permit him to stay down.

So far this season has been an uphill climb out of the crapper, but he's putting in the work and finally starting to get the opportunities. SJ is on the way up as two way threat, but it's going to take time.

At time of the draft I was in favor of drafting Stanley. There was something about him, a certain pedigree. I also liked booker and would not have been disappointed with him.I must admit it has been frustrating watching Stanley most nights and I too wondered if drafting him was a mistake.NO it was a solid choice.stanley was raw with no specific offensive skill set. But the young man is a winner.Today he is learning the game the right way. He is improving his shooting and decision making. I believe his best position will be sg and in time he will become a good shooter. He needs reps in gym and to clean up his technique. Svg was right to break his game down to teach him to play the right way. In time I can see a pope Stanley backcourt, with Stanley being a knockdown shooter. That is if organization can be patient.
