this was our starting lineup. maybe our problem is the starting players not the bench?

yah that's a horrible lineup.
2 defenders, 3 scorers, no cutters, 3 dribble guys, 1 clog the lane guy
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Its pretty crazy to me that is the worst in the entire NBA for a minimum of 20 games played together. We all thought those were some decent players but its for sure that Jackson didn't fit nearly as well as Ish Smith did with the rest of our starters.

Whats crazier is that it was one of the best last season.

Yes that's what I was thinking, so that's possibly why SVG has been slow to make adjustments.. since he saw last year how good this lineup can be.

I think we need to insert Stanley into the starting line-up.

Though there is some individual talent here, the entire team is poorly structured and poorly coached. Last year was no different.

Even more troubling the Drummond &a Reggie duo is the 7th worst in the league with a +- of -8.2 per 100 possessions. That's incredible!
That was supposed to be our foundation...

This needs to change. The ideal solution would be for SVG to "coach" these guys up to their potential. If not, need to get a trade done.

A trade will happen, it's a matter of when not if at this point. Whether something cool by the trade deadline to spark life or something in the offseason after we barely squeak in the playoffs to get blown out by one of the Cavs or Raptors/Bos.

This season has enough games where RJ isn't a foundational piece for this team going forward. In fact not many on this team are.

SVG is too stubborn to trade anyway. Every trade he's made he's clearly "won". No way he dumps Jackson if we don't "win the trade" but no one will give anything of value because he's reverted to a worse player with the same attitude from OKC.

I'm expecting at least 1.5 years before SVG blows this up, after all, we're a playoff team *barf*

Trade RJ and Drummond for draft picks only and there's a realistic chance we get the 6th or 7th seed this year

The whole reason Drummond got paid (GOAT level offensive rebounding) he regress in and is the same bad defensive player he always was.

Reggie not the same scoring threat that was unstoppable at the end of games last season.

Really shows how bad Reggie's decline has handcuffed our team.

Reggie's decline is because of his bad knee, and it's not getting better. Hope they shut him down, whether he likes it or not, before he ruptures a tendon or does other really serious damage. Surgery is no sure cure, but it looks more and more inevitable. The platelet treatment didn't do much this time apparently. I doubt you could get much for him in a trade.
Sadly, this is a story that might have "legs" for some time.
