Game 55: Pistons (25-29) @ Raptors (32-22) - 6:00 PM EST

Post#1 » by whitehops » Sat Feb 11, 2017 5:04 pm

i'll be at the game, repping the pistons in my KCP jersey.

chicago is faltering ahead of us but miami and charlotte are both within a game of us so literally every game counts from here on out.

btw, the raps are 10-12 in 2017 while we are 10-9 so this isn't such an unwinnable game as both teams are playing around .500 ball.

go pistons!

Well Demar is probably going to drop 40 on us unless we start doubling him like we should've the past few times we went at him.

Game is winnable since I think the guys should be fired up after the Spurs. Well hopefully, then again so are the Raps.

he's scoring well still but he's nowhere near as hot as he was to start the year.

i forget how we usually guard the raps but i think having KCP on lowry, morris on demar and reggie on carroll could be most effective.

Caldwell-Pope usually play DeRozan... and it doesn't end well. DeMar feats on pretty much any smaller defender regardless of how good they are. Plays into his game really well. Going with those defensive assignments would be great but Van Gundy is pretty strict/stubborn with stuff like this so I wouldn't expect much to change. Going to be a long night unless DeRozan is just off.

This is where a veteran wing would be nice to have. I would like to say we could put Stanley on him but he would foul out in 10 minutes.

Yeah I expect Derozan and JV to have huge games against us. Again.

i'm pretty sure we've had morris guard demar in the past, though i know we've tried KCP too.

Ya have fun. Normally I'd be there too. Need them to win so I don't have to listen to these raptors fans up here bragging

So the plus side about playing the raptors is the formula for beating them is exactly the same. There's not much too them and they have been struggling defensively. If we can come out and focus on the Defensive end, there's not really much they can throw at us to stop us. DD and lowry going to get theirs, and we can live with that. Keep the rest of their scrubs in check

JV the ultimate Pistons Killer. I say he has 20 by half time shooting 10/10 with 10+ boards!

We couldn't get it done against the Celtics or the Spurs, hopefully we can get a win against Toronto and keep fighting to get to the next tier.

If this team ever plans to turn the corner, this would be a nice time to start.

Andre gets called for a foul because he goes for a dumb steal instead of playing actual defense
Detroit vs Everybody
