Drummond somehow doesn't crack ESPN's 50 under 25 list

Making lists is never easy. Often, someone gets left off and everyone complains.

ESPN.com undertook the bold venture of compiling a list of the top 50 NBA stars under 25 years old. Most of the names on the list are ones even the most casual NBA fans would expect, but one player left off raised some eyebrows

Andre Drummond, the 23-year-old No. 9 overall pick in 2012 by the Pistons, was no where to be seen. The 7-foot center made the Eastern Conference All-Star team last year, while also being named to the All-NBA third team.

Was he left off the list intentionally, or just forgotten? Either, way it seems impossible.

Fellow Pistons Tobias Harris and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope made the cut, and neither of them are at the same level as Drummond.

That's absurd. Say what you about Dre and his flaws, but to not have him on there is laughable. I actually doubt this was intentional, but who knows. Glad I don't waste money on ESPN insider

Drummond is closer to being a top 50 player, period, then he is to not being a top 50 player under 25.

He was ranked 20 by ESPN, overall, back in November. His year hasn't been that bad. 14.6/13.8/1.2blks/21.3 PER. Please.

Lol, He's done it to himself still playing like a rookie 5 years in but that seems a bit extreme.

So he goes from top 20 in the whole **** league to NOT being top 50 under 25?

ESPN is a joke anyway but this kind of thing makes it painfully obvious

You look at the numbers and it is ridiculous, but I say good. Might give the big goof some edge to his game. He needs to play ornery more often.

Drummond is annoying as hell as a player but he is better than a lot of these guys on there.

Ornery? Dude needs to grow a pair and play like the opponents have his mother locked in a basement

Looks like they just forgot to put him on the list considering they ranked him 20th in the entire NBA.

Not sure how you can just forget to put players on lists like these, probably something they might like to check

Sometimes I wonder how long it would take for some of these NBA players to cry like a baby if they had to play on the some of the courts we played on in Detroit, Flint and south side of Chicago. I recall I teammate who pulled out his .45 and told me to play defense and "block that $h*t" or else. That was serious motivation for me. After that pick up game I got a drink of water and ran to my car and got out of there. I let them keep my ball.

Andre is garbage. Not a team player. Not a leader. He is over payed and lazy. I don't think the Warriors or cavs would even play him.

S**t is serious business, bro.

I got laughed at in Flint because I didn't have a gun with me at games. So I got a gun. Then I went to Detroit and got laughed at because it was a .32.

So I went .44 Mag on their asses.

I agree that he's somewhat overpaid and all, but to say he wouldn't play on the Warriors or cavs is not close to being true. If he could fit on those teams salary-wise he'd more than likely start. Also if Andre had more veteran leadership like a lebron or steph and company he would be considerably better.

Kinda seems like a non-story. It was clearly a mistake. And on the extreme off chance that it wasn't, who cares? It's ESPN. Maybe we'll get lucky and Andre will go home, see the article and go "WTF? ESPN thinks Larry Nance Jr. is better than me?!" and then he'll actually start practicing his post-ups and read Basketball Defense Development by Walter Carvalho. Idk who the hell that is, but his book was the first I found, so yeah...

Also, to Manocad and Warspite... Damn :o

ESPN is having a rough week.

They also did a piece on the Tigers where they talked about how we're going to have to rely on Cameron Maybin at center field again...despite the fact that he was traded early in the offseason.

It happens.

Shouldn't happen to "The Worldwide Leader"

Yeah it's a BS slogan but if you're gonna pump out a slogan at least try to live up to it
