demarcus cousins is out tonight but we played an OT game yesterday and always struggle with davis/the pelicans.
needless to say, win here would be huge as we're just a game behind 7th seed.
go pistons!

just to throw it out there, i don't have a problem with reggie starting since SVG clearly plays ish down the stretch when he's obviously playing better. the minute split is starting to trend towards ish getting 28 minutes and reggie getting 20, as long as ish closes the games i don't care who starts.
and i do like our little "death lineup" of ish, KCP, 2 of morris, harris and SJ (based on matchups) and drummond. it's got a good mix of everything and especially when SJ is in for harris there's tons of hustle plays, especially on defense. even drummond seems to play harder with those guys, almost like their intensity is contagious.
that said, we could see lots of leuer today to match up with davis. hopefully he busts out of his slump.

I think there are problems in the locker room. The Morris group and the Reggie-Andre duo. Morris speaking up of Ish in every interview and never mentioning Reggie says a lot. I also don't think KCP has a great opinion of Reggie's selfishness and laziness. There were too many times where Reggie decided not to pass KCP the ball, especially on transition.
When Ish checks in KCP gets the ball a lot of times.

still waiting for the bleacher report app notification that Reggie will be 'shut down for the remainder of the season to "rehab" his knee'

Give more minutes to Tobias and Stanley, less for Leuer. We play trash basketball on our b2b games so I find this game as a hard one for us, Pels are on losing streak but Davis will probably score 40/50/60 on us, just like in 15/16 campaign. Winning in NOLA would give us 7th spot as Bulls next opponent is Oakland. oh, Pelicans aren't 23-27 so you'd better change this

Not that there was a chance of this happening, but tonight would've been an especially difficult time for Ish to take over the starting spot after playing a lot in a OT win with a game the very next day. If anything maybe Reggie will have fresher legs? Doubt it, but here's hoping.

Was looking at Jonny boy's game log for the past month. About every 5 games he totally lays an egg like last night. Hopefully he continues the trend of having a bounce back game afterwards.

I think you're right although I hope it can be resolved. Big coaching challenge for Stan. Maybe the playoffs will bring the team together. And once the season is over, maybe a couple of trades will make it all right.

Golly gee that sounds awfully like a certain team in Oklahoma that housed Reggie too.
I can't quite put my finger on why this is happening though /sarcasm

I guess this was on twitter. Idk if anyone has seen the tweet, but I just seen it posted on another Pistons website, figured i'd post it on here for anyone who hasn't seen it. Not sure if true either, but could be
The only 3 player combination that's better then Curry, Thompson and Durant this year is Ish, Johnson and Harris.

That's what i'm saying. I just seen someone posted it on another website, they didn't provide a link. Was hoping someone on here had seen it and could provide one. I'm thinking it could be true tho.

Did some searching and found this. Looks like our guys are actually #1 ! And it's just over the past 12 games, not the year

Thanks for doing the research. I was thinking it might just be a small sample size, but still nice to know. It backs up what most have been saying for the past few games or so that, SJ, Ish, and Tobias have been playing good

The time has come to start Stanley Johnson IMO
Dre, Mook, SJ, KCP, RJ
Ish closes the game with that line up or insert Harris for SJ
As stated numerous times by many: Stanley Johnson was drafted because of his mentality!
We're seeing flashes all the time...reward his effort and start him Stan!

If we win tonight next game is Philly on the second night of a back to back, could finally be at .500 again
