PG. We're running that fast-paced transition offense. Reggie and Ish are splitting minutes, both are fresh. Reggie's healthy and penetrating.. not playing hero ball.

KCP's KCP. Marcus is Marcus. Tobias is Tobias. Stanley's Stanley off the bench for those guys (I hate Leuer and wish he played less).

Dre's motivated.. playing hard, and relatively smart (in position and paying attention defensively, not taking dumb shots offensively). BOBAN, not Baynes, is getting his backup minutes.

This team, as it is, is running on all cylinders.. at its absolute best.. What are our weaknesses?? Why will the Celtics, Raptors, Hawks, Wizards beat us. Or the Cavs. (not even getting into GS, Spurs, etc. territory here).

I'd say..

#1. Point Guard Defense. All the good teams in the East have great scoring PG's. Reggie is a TERRIBLE defender. Ish really isn't much better. Even KCP isn't that great.. and all these teams have pretty good scoring 2's too, anyways. Anything we can do about it??
---Get Stanley used to running the point on offense. Really the only thing I can think of. Not sure that's something that can happen in half a season.

#2. Shooting/scoring. When the game slows down. P&R isn't always there, it's defendable. KCP, Tobias, Marcus, (Leuer) all okay shooters.. all prone to slumps too. Anything we can do about it??
---No, not really, not this year. We need to add a really lights-out shooter to the team somehow this off-season though.

Or we could just enjoy the fact that the team played well and not try to find the cloud in the silver lining for a change.

Just a thought.

They play their best when their opposition is a tanking team who is holding their 3 best players off the floor to lose as much as possible.

our weakness is that Tobias Harris and Reggie Jackson are not great defenders. our point guards cant really guard anyone, except Ish on matchups like Isiah Thomas or other small guards and the fact that we zero to no rim protection when Dre is not on the floor. also this team has a lot of player that loose total interest in the game if things are not going there way on offense, fix those problems and we are one of the best teams in the league.

personally ii think we take the first step by drafting another big that can move his feet and block shots this summer, personally i like Jarrett Allen out of Texas. i think he would be the perfect pick to develop a strong back-up to Dre. plus we aren't going to be in the range to get a good PG prospect, those are all going high this year.

Possible weakness identified.

It's incredible how they hurt our team. Just throw them to Divac and get some assets and picks.

I'll go with free throw shooting and lack of an elite "go-to" player option. Haha so Reggie and Andre's current weaknesses.

This isnt in the least bit surprising. A lot people around here have come to terms that Reggie and Andre, the two "franchise" players, are the main problems. Not only do the #'s confirm it, the eye test does as well. Neither of these guys are the main pieces on a contender. I think SVG has realized this as well which is going to make this off season an interesting one for sure.

Part of the reason is that since Jackson came back to the lineup Harris has moved to the bench and our bench has been killing opposing teams benches.

Ish + Stanley + Harris + (Usually one of Morris or JL) + Baynes is a pretty solid bench compared to most opposing teams.

That said, less Reggie and more Ish is always welcome to see.

IMO the biggest weakness is team defense. At their best, this team can outshoot an opponent, out rebound an opponent, and avoid a lot of turnovers. However this team NEVER collectively plays a "great" defensive game. They outscore opponents via better offense, not better defense.
